Don't get me wrong she seems like a lovely lady and does have some useful tips but AIBU to think she cleans alot and often. As a single mum I don't hardly have anytime during the day to do this amount of cleaning! Now it's making me feel bad that I don't clean this much 😂

I am not part of her “army” nor do I believe her to be a messiah. I just know that what I’m reading on this thread is totally unacceptable and constitutes as bullying.

Same, not part of anyone's army. Seeing as I'm an individual and a grown up. I do like Mrs Hinch though, she's great.
Always brings out the worst of MN do these threads.

I’d never dream of walking into a friend (or strangers home) and insulting their choice in decor or furnishings.

It’s their home, their safe space.

If I sat at work with a group of women coming out with half the nasty drivel on these posts, I’d be pulled into the office for a disciplinary - for bullying.

It’s amaxing how MN users try to disguise their bullying as “having an opinion”

ElspethFlashman · 13/09/2018 18:36

Anyone who is making a living on a public platform is choosing what to offer up for public consumption.

If you don't want people on Instagram to judge your house, don't show it to a quarter of a million people, eh?

WhatsGoingOnEh · 13/09/2018 18:38

@ElspethFlashman

"somehow found myself in a trance-like state today at a till with a bottle of Linen Fresh Zoflora in my hand"

I KNOW. I ran out of money at the CoOp till earlier this week. My card was declined, in front of a huge queue of people. It should've been humiliating but the only thing I cared about was that I couldn't get the bottle of pine disinfectant.

I was haunted by visions of it that night (not kidding) and when I found £2 the next day, I almost ran to the CoOp to buy it.

It's weird.

OkMaybeNot · 13/09/2018 18:40

It’s their home, their safe space.

I don't think you can really claim something as an intimate, cosy, safe space if you're plastering it all over social media in a bit to make money. Really. It's in the public domain, and she profits from people having an opinion on her home. Sometimes those 'reviews' won't be glowing.

It's not bullying to say, in your opinion, it looks shit.

Am I bullying Victoria Beckham by saying I think her fashion line is hideous?

A580Hojas · 13/09/2018 18:59

The Mail Online is running a story on this, so her "safe space" will be getting a few more thousands of views and I doubt the Mail readership will hold back if they don't like what they see.

Dee361970 · 13/09/2018 19:09

GrinI’ve done it myself lately, buying all the cleaning products but going to go back to my Method rhubarb (amazing smell) I’ve had a headache for days. Don’t know whether it’s the chemicals or the anxiety that I can’t keep up with the shiny sinks. The dog is afraid to drink Incase he drips water on my floor (joke) I think she’s great by the way but I’ll just watch and not partake and just move on 😀

It is amazing some posters interpret anyone disagreeing and expressing their opinion as 'bullying". Too much time on their hands, maybe?

ElspethFlashman · 13/09/2018 20:40

I have to say that my newly Zoflora-d kitchen really really smells strong. I only used a capful!

I definitely would not use it all over the house, it'd knock you out.

Mrs. H goes a bit mad with it. Her house must give you a headache. She puts sheets of Zoflora in the bottom of the kitchen bin, she sprays her soft furnishings with Zoflora and she soaks tumble drier sheets in Zoflora and tucks one sheet into each cushion lining (along with Unstoppables if it's a thick cushion)

The smell must be absolutely insane in that house! She keeps saying how it smells "fresh" but if it smells like my kitchen X 10 then it just smells pungent, I'm afraid.

Pamdoo · 13/09/2018 20:46

It's also amazing that people come on here and say 'if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it' but tell you to STFU in the same post. Double standards much?

Skyejuly · 13/09/2018 20:47

I agree. It will just reek of non diluted zoflora.

Totally agree. @fishfingers is being ridiculously naive.

Aspenfrost · 13/09/2018 20:54

Those chemicals - dear god. Why don’t those people think of the planet?

Aspenfrost · 13/09/2018 21:06

No wonder they can clean everything because there is pretty much nothing to see except the odd grey piece of tat from Next

What colour do you prefer on your furnishings?

Well, more than one colour.Hmm
Our house has a Scandinavian vibe but it is perhaps more eclectic.

GuavaPalava · 13/09/2018 21:08

The only thing I have an opinion on is how awful her followers are. Barely literate, frothing women who will ultimately do her more harm than good. They're tearing any detractors to shreds over in the Facebook group which is just ShockConfusedHmm

Pinkyponkcustard · 13/09/2018 21:13

Yeah anyway...

What’s everyone’s fave pot noodle?

Chicken and mushroom for me

Aspenfrost · 13/09/2018 21:15

Wait, isn’t that Ziflora stuff a bit old fashioned? Hasn’t it been around forever and body swerved for something that looks a bit more of the moment? The branding looks as if it’s straight out of the 1950s.

Aspenfrost · 13/09/2018 21:15

Zoflora

Pinkyponkcustard · 13/09/2018 21:16

The obsession with women cleaning is straight out of the 1950s

Pamdoo · 13/09/2018 21:21

That's probably due to the constant zoflora inhalation

The branding looks as if it’s straight out of the 1950s
I always remember my nan using it when I was a kid, so at least 30 odd years ago. Still can't stand lavender.

What’s everyone’s fave pot noodle?
Curry. My local shop has them on offer so going to start my stockpile tomorrow!

WhatsGoingOnEh · 13/09/2018 21:22

I'd bought in to the anti-cleaning thing.......... But honestly, it's genuinely therapeutic. It's like anything where your hands are busy but your mind is free - it's calming. And afterwards you have a lovely home to live in.

Plus it's a damned sight better for my backside than my baking fad.

dillydally446 · 13/09/2018 21:23

@PaddysMarket @fishfingersfordinner
TOMM is a lovely lady called Gemma aka the organised mum on instagram and alike.

She’s been caught up in all this because she’s always talked about not mixing cleaning products and the ‘Army’ have put two and two together and come up with seven! She’s received lots of hate over it.
I followed Gemma before I followed Sophie and she’s absolutely great. All of her cleaning schedules are free as well. Absolutely disgusting how she’s been treated.
I just can’t understand where this mentality comes from. Thousands of people follow TOMM and are called Team TOMM, they’ve never behaved like the ‘Hinch Army’! I’m a member of their group and it’s generally not bitchy at all.

firehousedog1 · 13/09/2018 21:23

It's the arse licking and attention seeking from her followers that I find cringey. There are other cleaning groups on fb and other cleanings instagram accounts but I've never seen this level of adulation over one figure elsewhere.

ElspethFlashman · 13/09/2018 21:27

I do think she's droll though. I like her personality.
