I really want to name our next cat Brian.

DH doesn't agree with people names. Current cat has a stupid cutesy name I won't publish for MN to humiliate... But next time it'll be MY TURN!

Takfujimoto · 11/08/2018 00:31

PurpleFlower1983 Salem is purrfect for a black cat.

pinkgirl1234 · 11/08/2018 00:35

And so every night as the cat was called, the neighbours could hear him shouting 'come here Big Boy'!
😂 😂

My next two cats will be called Poppy and Leo. I've got four now so I'm not really supposed to be looking for any more.

Tybalt - prince of cats
Wicked - such an amazing boy
Birdy - quirky
Cookie, short for Cooking Fat - not me, some wit/git
Minou - lovely but has other connotations
Mandy - lush named it after her favorite drug

Oscar Wilde reminds me of our Biggie. This is Biggie drinking water. Sometimes he drinks normally, but usually he dips his paw in and licks it off. (Biggie spends some of his time staring at walls and curtains. He tried to make friends with a dog once. He's lovely but a bit thick.)

Whatever name you choose, make sure you would not feel embarrassed calling out her or his name from the front door or the garden.

vampirethriller · 11/08/2018 08:38

My mums cat is called Charles. When I was growing up she had Tallulah, Mississippi, Marigold, Sukey, Catherine, Heathcliffe, Thomasina, Mary, Dusty, and a stray who stayed called Black Cat because we thought she'd leave again and didn't give her a name.

Duchessgummybuns · 11/08/2018 08:42

I have Peggy and Pete, calling them in at night sounds like I’ve lost an old married couple. (They act like one too... they despise each other Grin)

Worried74 · 11/08/2018 10:23

We have had Jezebel, Willow and Gus. Currently have Fluffy (she isn't), Smokie, Pumpkin (black and white but arrived at halloween) and Marmite. All have various nicknames and varying levels of intelligence. Love them all.
