Sobbing over the death of a TV character

We are binge watching Boardwalk Empire. My favourite character died last night and I was in bits. It was beautifully done and a shocking end to the season.
I haven't felt this way since Thelma and Louise went over the canyon.

As we've move into books and films; Shelby from Steel Magnolia's.

Apart from Doctor Who I haven't seen any of these shows or films

However I've just gotten into criminal minds and I have a horrible feeling some of the cast is doomed...

I was also a little sniffly when Jenny Shepard died in NCIS

GoT S5 Finale. I was sobbing and furious at the same time. How could they? I was very close to giving up on the series after that.

Yes to Cedric Diggory too.

But also - I'm still not over Matthew Crawley dying either - , surely Dan Stevens could have held on for just one more season?!!!

Poussey in OITNB, proper sobbing. Also Coco, can't watch it without bawling.

I haven't cried over many deaths in tv or film but Dobby the house elf finished me off - I sobbed my heart out.

And I agree with the character death in The Subtle Knife, I weep buckets every time.

The most I've ever sobbed over a character though is Ponyboy in the Outsiders
I was around 15 the first time I watched it. I was crying so hard I could hardly breathe.

Adriana in the Sopranos is just awful. I really, really thought they'd let her go. Then they didn't, of course.

Leo mcGarry kills me, and Will Gardner was such a shocker episode.

If we are including films - and Disney are particularly terrible for this - what about animations?

The first 10 minutes of Up get me every time.

I’ve only been genuinely upset about Morse (for an inordinately long time!), Snape and Hodor.
But Robert Romano in ER was shocking.

Brendan Frasers character in Scrubs made me sob.

Also Joyce in Buffy! Quite a lot of Buffy had me sobbing to be fair.

I am there, for me it's Northern Lights, Billy Costa: "Where's my Ratter?" It also made me feel sick.

Matthew Crawley - did not cope with that at all! Also Lady Sybil.

Barbara from Call the Midwife.

Snapes death had me snotting and sobbing .

Oh god yes Barbara from CTM i forgot she died poor Tom 😣

Oh gosh how could I forget Lucy in ER.

And Sandy. The following storyline wjere weaver loses Sandy and the parents refuse to let her have their baby back...
