We are binge watching Boardwalk Empire. My favourite character died last night and I was in bits. It was beautifully done and a shocking end to the season.
I haven't felt this way since Thelma and Louise went over the canyon. Sad

Alfred in Heartbeat. I wept buckets.

HaveSomeGrace · 10/08/2018 08:19

I did this when Will Gardner died in The Good Wife! Think I was pregnant at the time too, but was expecting it as had read it accidentally on the web a few weeks before. Poor old Will!

AliceLutherNeeMorgan · 10/08/2018 08:19

Oh and there’s one other in GoT; won’t do a spoiler but it’s a very innocent character (surprise!) in S5. I still well up when I think of it

Butteredparsn1ps · 10/08/2018 08:23

Yup. And don’t even get me started on when animals die. Tissue central.

Slartybartfast · 10/08/2018 08:25

Sad louis theroux about dogs in america just the other night

Yutes · 10/08/2018 08:26

Yanbu I cry at tv (and music) all the time.

DoYouLikeHueyLewisandTheNews · 10/08/2018 08:27

I also cried at the death of that character. The actor was in another film we watched not long after and my husband took the piss something rotten. It did give me closure though!

Churrolicious · 10/08/2018 08:27

We’re watching the most recent season of Ray Donovan. DH and I both ended up crying (I was sobbing, he was slightly quieter but not much) over a death in that a few nights ago.

Aleciahartismyhero · 10/08/2018 08:27

Greg Pratt broke my heart! Also Marley in Marley and me was the most id ever cried in a film 😳

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 10/08/2018 08:28

Damon Grant in Brookie. My teenage heart was broken.

TwoGinScentedTears · 10/08/2018 08:28

I also sobbed when Marks daughter walked into the ER in the last episode and they said hello, Dr. Green.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 10/08/2018 08:28

I cry at so many things on TV and in films.

Feduppluckingmychinhairs · 10/08/2018 08:29

Butch from Emmerdale
Nana from the Royale family

Dhalandchips · 10/08/2018 08:30

I sobbed at Morse too!

Essexgirlupnorth · 10/08/2018 08:30

Greg's anatomy has had me in tears lots of times Maggies Mum dying was particularly close to home as my mum died of cancer 2 years ago and husband came home to me crying my eyes out

IAmTheWifeOfMaoTseTung · 10/08/2018 08:32

I still haven’t watched that episode of season 5 GOT. I was watching season 5 behind the times and fully spoiled and decided that I just wasn’t up for it at all. I’ve skimmed the episode but skipped all the scenes involving that plot line.

Season 6 I was watching live and after another innocent character (narrows it down) has a huge death scene I came in to work to find a young male workmate absolutely shellshocked saying feebly “I am NOT ok about that”.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 10/08/2018 08:33

Madge died?! Shock I haven't watched it in years! 😭😭😭😭

HushabyeMountainGoat · 10/08/2018 08:35

Soap characters always get me the worst. Peggy Mitchell, Jack Duckworth et al.

Ledehe · 10/08/2018 08:36

I'm rewatching Boardwalk at the moment and really enjoying getting to binge it instead of watching it once a week for it's entirety. Just in middle of season 3 just now.

Yes that was my fave character too and was devastated at that death. Also wept buckets at Al Capone trying to teach his son to stick up for himself. Acting is beautifully done all round.

FuckPants · 10/08/2018 08:36

Will dying so suddenly in the Good Wife nearly gave me a breakdown.

Xenadog · 10/08/2018 08:38

Nana in The Royle Family. Beautifully written and the bit where Jim says his final farewell has me welling up now!

Fucketbucket13 · 10/08/2018 08:38

Morley & me, gets me everything.

Mask.
When they had to put that dog from extenders to sleep years ago. I'm still traumatised.

XiCi · 10/08/2018 08:39

Hmm, I loved Boardwalk Empire but can't remember being particularly bothered about any of the deaths so I'm not sure who you mean. What season are you up to?
Will Gardner was an upsetting one and there were a few on the Wire that were traumatic to watch - D'Angelo and Omar in particular. I'm bracing myself for some main characters to go in Power now we're at the last couple of series!

EyeDrops · 10/08/2018 08:39

Oh, Wilson's girlfriend (Amber?) in House s4, with the bus crash. Not her dying so much, but Wilson going home after she'd died and finding her note saying she's gone to get House..

beepbeeprichie · 10/08/2018 08:39

When Abraham died in TWD. I was sobbing so hard I couldn’t get a breath. Shocking.
