The really cheap, chocolate, rice crisps and raisin cakes in round cool trays that supermarkets used to sell.

And fuse bars.

Hoviscats · 02/08/2018 21:17

Sara Lee pecan pie. Was always christmas breakfast with a glass of bucks fizz as a teenager/twenty something.

Also cadburys secret bars!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 02/08/2018 21:18

Pacers tasted of soap.

slapmyassandcallmejudy · 02/08/2018 21:22

Prawn cocktail wotsits

MissLadyM · 02/08/2018 21:22

Oh I've just remembered...54321 ( bite the chewy bit off & dip it in tea!), Green/white/red Xmas smarties, someone must remember Banjos & Blitz bars?, proper black forest gateau, Farmer Brown crisps, salt & shake crisps with the little sachet of salt, hideously unhealthy orange juice powder that you mixed with water! I'm so nostalgic!

kitbabingley · 02/08/2018 21:25

Mr Kipling used to do fruit and custard pies, same as their mini apple pies but with a layer of custard between the pastry top and the fruit filling. They were lovely! Also on a custardy theme, squirty custard like squirty cream, in the aerosol cans. Delish.

I remember that Entenmann's tray bake, we used to have it occasionally after Sunday lunch as a special treat, it was gorgeous. Never found anything sold these days that matches up to it.

Those who miss Marble bars - is it not just the same as guylian seashells?

MissLadyM · 02/08/2018 21:26

And....Spiras! And Texan bars, Gold nugget chewing gum in a little bag! Does anyone remember tiny classic vinyl albums that were made out of chewing gum?! I've still got my Roxy Music 'Avalon' one! I used to get one every Sunday when my dad got our soda syphon refills at the off license!

TroysMammy · 02/08/2018 21:27

Bluesheep8 they were called Jamborees. I liked the green mint flavoured ones.

GoldenChildReturns · 02/08/2018 21:33

More from my teenage years really than childhood but i really miss this chocolate bar by Terry's. it was made of hexagonal pieces of chocolate with caramel and hazelnut, and they later release a version shaped like a mountain with white choc snow caps. I think it was called Moments or something but the exact name escapes me.

Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby- peanut butter pretzels in vanilla ice cream.

Terry's Pyramint. and Choc oranges which actually tasted nice and were bigger

Some crisps like Quavers called Crunchies if i recall correctly- there was cheese flavour and a bacon (or was it beef) flavour?

GoldenChildReturns · 02/08/2018 21:34

Oh and Tubes crisps. I think Walkers did them. i remember them from the 80s

GoldenChildReturns · 02/08/2018 21:36

Just remembered Cadbury's Mint Crisp, and Top Deck bars. I think they still do them in S Africa though.

Jamiefraserskilt · 02/08/2018 21:37

Nice biscuits with orange or yellow icing on, spangles and iced gems

GoldenChildReturns · 02/08/2018 21:46

I remember some biscuits with icng on them in a stripe pattern- like neapolitan ice cream- vanilla, strawbery, chocolate and they were round biscuits with fluted edges. IFIRC they were known as Iced Shorties

sparklefluff · 02/08/2018 21:47

@leanne9312 I need that recipe!!! 😂

MissLadyM · 02/08/2018 21:49

Neopolitan chocolates. Very sophisticated 😏

Ethylred · 02/08/2018 21:55

YABU for not being able even to copy the name correctly from the packet.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 02/08/2018 21:59

Oh, Neapolitans! I loved those. A staple in my Christmas stocking as a teenager.
Remember those vile Weekend chocolates- yuck.

longwayoff · 02/08/2018 22:09

Powder ice cream? No idea. What is it?

PersilOrAriel · 02/08/2018 22:09

Creamola foam has a pretty good looks-likey called Krakatoa Foam. I’ve only tried the raspberry flavour, and it was just like the childhood original.

I’m on my third tin. If you google it, you’ll find a few suppliers.

Babybearsporij · 02/08/2018 22:09

Fruit polos
Cherry Drops

FoodologistGirl · 02/08/2018 22:10

TheOxymoron

Frosty6611 · 02/08/2018 22:11
