Sort of a thread about a thread but I’m loving the Come Dine With Me thread on AIBU.

So, AIBU to want to know if anyone has been on Four In A Bed or knows anyone who has?

I have to confess, if money was no object, I’d buy a B&B and go on the show.

I remember her, the fire exit/alarm thing was massive for her. Didn't one of the other contestants say she smelled of BO or something equally personal. I really felt sorry for her for that it was out of order.

Clionba Yes, her rates were very low and I remember the nice friend.

One of the men did say that she smelled which I thought was very cruel. It should have been edited out.

I had forgotten that. I have been trying to remember who else was in that episode.

The other one I thought was bizarre was the couple who ran an absolutely filthy place with a swimming pool. He was very strange - they both were. She smiled all the time. Thete was something to do with Mr Blobby. When it came to the end they had taken lots of money off everyone else. He was very creepy.

I wonder how long it takes to film they say it is over the week but logistically that would be a nightmare

Friends of mine run a b&b and have been invited on several times for 2 reasons:

firstly, if you go on trip advisor for anyone whose been on the show it’s full of abuse from people who’ve seen you on the show but not stayed at your b&b; and,

Secondly, you get a rise in bookings but you also get a rise in complaints from people pointing out dust and a hair in the shower.

So they always say no.

I remember how massively frustrated I was by Ben and his friend Thomasine. I was so glad G Boutique won!

The other thing FIAB highlights for me is how poor people’s maths is. I know some game it but many genuinely don’t seem to realise that knocking £10 off a £40 room is a huge statement compared to knocking £10 off a £100 room! ‘Well we’ll know £10 as that’s what we did to Janet and Bob’ no you idiots you knocked 10% off Janet and Bob and you’ve now knocked 25% off Peter!

Yes lynne &Ziggy have been on Hotel inspector some other couple have been on H I a couple from brighton his parents had bought it for him.

Marianne (big blonde obnoxious leopard skin-clad woman from a couple of years ago) didn’t own the posh lodges that her guests stayed in. She just manages them.

My friend has directed this and come dine with me but I’m not due to see her for a while to get the inside goss! She did tell me that on location Phil & kirstie have absolutely no input on the houses and literally turn up 10 minutes before filming at the property. Sometimes they are totally WTF over the properties chosen!

Haha doesnt surprise me at all. Whilst we're here, and since we've drifted there, has anyone stayed in a hotel 'done' by Alex Polizzi on Hotel Inspector?

I went in a shop in York that was done over by Mary Portas on Queen of Shops. It all seemed very lovely and like Mary had left it. The slightly batty owner wasn't there.

It's closed now.

@longwayoff I've stayed in a light house that was on hotel inspector. I haven't seen the episode but it was a lovely nights stay

The artists residence that’s been on FIAB and hotel inspector is massively successful now, they have three or four locations now and it’s all v Instagram and trendy. Think the couple have a little boy now, I really liked them and I think the other contestants didn’t really get it.

I’m obsessed though, I think my favourites are the first episodes with the crazy MENSA couple and the one with the boring bloke who wouldn’t stop going on about Marple.

Excellent name mail. I liked the lighthouse owner, and wished him well so glad to hear it was a pleasant stay.

What really annoys me is when they stay in a countryside b&b and complain/take money off because there's a spider in the room. Yes, you're in the fucking country there will be creepy crawlies around

She might be the lady I was thinking of earlier. Two of the contestants at her B&B said the bed in their room was too small for them to sleep comfortably in.

She said it was a standard size double bed and they should have been fine in it, because she had the same bed in her own bedroom.

Then she admitted her bed was the kingsize version and she was in it alone because her partner had left her.

At their B&B, she complained her large bed was too small for her, even though she was sleeping in it alone.

I love this show. Just watched the one with the former news reporter Mike something.
I wish they wouldn’t show the feedback till the end of the week.
