Sort of a thread about a thread but I’m loving the Come Dine With Me thread on AIBU.

So, AIBU to want to know if anyone has been on Four In A Bed or knows anyone who has?

I have to confess, if money was no object, I’d buy a B&B and go on the show.

I love it but it has put me off staying in b&bs and I'm not sure why..

Yes and Veronica and Saida. Saida was sourfaced and sullen, and Veronica was rather forthright and very controlling but incredibly passive aggressive until she got their feedback. Then she just went on the attack. She became a totally manipulative drama queen trying to appear reasonbale and complianed a room stank of sick and the mattress was filthy and announced to the whole group after dinner that she could not possibly stay in such a place but had not wanted to spoil the B and B owners' meal. What followed was inspections of the room by all the guests, sniffing etc, humiliation of the owner who had covered an old mattress which was now exposed, and a feeling Veronica was just not very nice. I certainly wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of her. She would hold a grudge forever.

My favourite isthe one with the couple who put the inducton loop in the middle of the table and she had already insulted the couple by putting them in the disabled room it was so cringy.

Love, love, love Four in a Bed ... or "Sausage Obsessed Pube Hunters" as I like to call it.

The erotic art old couple were also on The Hotel Inspector. He was horrible, particularly nasty about the young Welsh guy.

The erotic art couple ended up going bust. I felt sad for them as wouldn’t wish it on anyone - but hope they realised they were unfair in their assessment of the “good lad playing with his new toy”, whose business looks to still be going strong!

I think it was that episode anyway!

Someone I know was on it, they came across as really stuck up, as the focus was on being asked to remove shoes, but that is so far from what they are really like, It is amazing!

Slightly off topic but I wonder how B&Bs stay open, watching four in a bed has never made me think ‘I really must try a B&B’, I can’t think of anything worse than having breakfast with other strangers all sat around a big table.

I’ve stayed in a B&B twice, before it was on FIAB.

The owners were exactly the same in real life as they were portrayed, slightly crazy.

I love the show.

And all the fucking POACHED EGGS! Just so they can poke holes in it.

I love four in a bed , but I hate the 'it's just tit fot tat' comments. I mean one couple can be really picky and tear a place apart, but when someone criticises their place they say "it's only because we were negative about your gaff". I also hate the ones who have a 5* , luxury place for £200. per night who then go to a lovely budget place for £70 per night, but take off £15 because there was no four poster bed or some other stupid luxury!!!!

There's always Janet and Bert - "Oooh bert look there's a curly hair on the bed!"

Janet, it's clearly a fucking eyelash.

I hate it when budget places are priced appropriatley and they still get underpaid. The room is 40quid. Its clean and there is a bit of cereal and fruit available in the morning. What more do you want for that price? "Ive underpaid by ten pounds because there was a crap view of a high street/only a shower no bath/only continental". Its 40 quid!!!

I know (slightly) a couple who were on it their B&B is behind a Morgan Garage which the guy also owns and runs. Dunno what the b&B is like but another friend says you can eat your breakfast off the floor of the garage it's pristine!

One the other day on more4 underpaid £15 because there was a wall outside their window

No 1 sallyport was my favourite, I still stalk the trip advisor for that one, it's changed names now but looks like the owner is still as pleasant!

The eccentric couple were called Gordon and Blossom.

The ones who underpay because of a view piss me off.

Channel 4 contacted us to do it. DH refused, as he thought all the contestants seemed spiteful.

The scoring proper pisses me off, ARGH. Like the dog friendly one, where someone scored the owner down for allowing dogs. I get that you might not stay there in real life, for mark it for what it is, not what you want it to be.

I loved it when Steph and Dom were on it before they became "famous". They were such a lovely couple and so nice to everyone and about everyone. They were the perfect contestants.

If I ran a B&B and was on it, it would take an awful lot for me to underpay, because everyone is trying to do their best and as long as somewhere is clean and the rooms/breakfast are up to the standard of the price they're charging why would you underpay? I mean if someone had shat in my bed, then yes, I'd underpay.

Oh and people who say "well this broke" or "I didn't know how to use this yoke". Fucking ask!
