To Not Make An Effort on DP and DSC holiday return

My partner of 3 years is taking his 2 children on holiday next week for 2 weeks.
The children stay with us EOW and during the holidays.
I’m not invited. It has never been discussed he just booked it.
They all arrive back on a Thursday evening and the DCs (15 & 17) will be here until the Monday.
The expectation is that I will have food shopped, made beds etc for their return.
AIBU to just leave it & let them order take away ?

blackteasplease · 03/08/2018 13:25

Well done op. Glad you booked.

Still echo others that it might be time tonget rid.

LemonBreeland · 03/08/2018 13:44

Good for you OP. Apart from him being generally shitty, the one comment that stood out to me was you asking him if you'd be expected to do all of the laundry and him saying 'we'll see'. The only response to that should have been, 'of course not darling, I'll sort that myself'

Thebluedog · 03/08/2018 13:44

Been keeping an eye on this thread, I hope you are well on your way to a fabulous holiday Wine

IceColdCiderPlease · 03/08/2018 13:56

Thanks all. Off to the airport very shortly 🍸👙

I’ve not mentioned anything to him about my plans.

Apparently his DCs asked him where I was when he picked them up & why wasn’t I going with them.

I’m so looking forward to a blissful week away. I’ve never been on holiday on my own and I’m fully intending embracing the whole experience.

I am SO impressed by this OP, well done you!! Have a fabulous holiday.
Only shame is not seeing the look on his selfish and immature face when he turns the key in the door to the empty house.

Op i think patheticnurse meant what state did you leave the house in? Beds unmade, fridge empty we hope?

Have a lovely holiday!

theredjellybean · 03/08/2018 15:29

I wouldn't be stifling that laugh.. I'd be letting it out... Lovely raucous belly laughs everytime you think of his face when he realises the skivvy has vanished.
Enjoy your week alone... I have done holidays in the past on my own when I needed time to clear head and rest etc.. It's brilliant and your brilliant.. This is the best thread!
