To Not Make An Effort on DP and DSC holiday return

My partner of 3 years is taking his 2 children on holiday next week for 2 weeks.
The children stay with us EOW and during the holidays.
I’m not invited. It has never been discussed he just booked it.
They all arrive back on a Thursday evening and the DCs (15 & 17) will be here until the Monday.
The expectation is that I will have food shopped, made beds etc for their return.
AIBU to just leave it & let them order take away ?

And you can pretty much guarantee his response to op disappearing on holiday will be some gaslighting abuse that will attempt to ruin her holiday.

Might seem excessive but have you thought about changing the locks before you go?

Hope you have a fab holiday OP! Can I suggest that you write your DP a letter or email prior to going away to give him something to reflect on while you’re away? Some things clearly need to be addressed when you return home

Seconding the advice of a PP who recommended you pack up anything of value & put it into storage before you go, so it can't get damaged if he gets angry. In fact, I'd go further, & pack to leave, as much as possible. If possible, I'd also give notice on the rental - tell the LL I was leaving - I'd couch surf temporarily rather than stay as unpaid maid, TBH. Don't know how feasible this would be for you, or if you feel this is something you'd want to do.

Oh OP, I'm so pleased you're going on holiday. Your dp sounds like an arse and I would be very tempted to have moved all my things out for his return because it doesn't seem like you are happy in the relationship. Surely life is too short to stay with a man who doesn't treat you like an equal and makes you feel excluded from what is supposed to be a partnership. Good luck and enjoy that holiday.
