to think the worst part of the heatwave is the constantly sweaty (ahem) vulva?

Yes, I have NC'd for this. Blush

Anyone else getting irritated by constant irritation due to the heat? The sweat causes 'paper cuts' and it stings when I have a bath etc.

Roll on autumn!!!

No one is stopping you enjoying it Gorgon!

But no one is obliged to say only nice things about hot weather. Some people don’t like the heat, that’s just how they are, and they’re allowed to moan about it!

ChoccoBiccy66 · 26/07/2018 03:06

to the troll hunters discussing this thread on Reddit. Funnily enough I post in that forum too. MNHQ will confirm I’ve been here for the best part of a decade. I’m glad all your vulvas are sweat free in this weather Smile

Use Femfresh deordrant spray for intimate areas in these heated moments. Also use this under the boobs too Specialist informed me it is not harsh for the boob area either. Keeps everything dry. But please use the deordrant for intimate areas because normal deordrant us too harsh and can cause too many consequences Hope this helps ladies

CantankerousCamel · 26/07/2018 07:15

This is why we have pubic hair.

since I stopped shaving I have been 100 times more comfortable in the heat

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 26/07/2018 07:27

There's always one or two on these threads.

No, I don't sweat, I merely glow. My children don't sweat either. No, I don't understand how people can even sweat in hot weather. Oh, and by the way it's not even hot. It's glorious. You ought to enjoy it.

Why do you do it? Why plop in and post all of the above? Does it make you feel better? Superior? Accomplished?

I know everybody can post wherever they want and I'm in no way the thread police, I just want to know why you do it.

shoesarefab · 26/07/2018 07:30

@thegrumpysquirrel me too, 34 weeks and my house is hotter than Hades. Everyone thinks I’m exaggerating until they come round and experience it for themselves. I almost miss the snow 😭

LadyB49 · 26/07/2018 07:33

I've lived in Africa and Spain so boob sweat is not new to me. Lanacane powder worked really well but I haven't been able to source it for the last couple of years.
I now also have a belly apron following a hysterectomy so now it's booby and belly sweat.

Now using medicated powder which works brilliantly. Can't recall the name without going to look but it's in a yellow and blue container and i get it from Amazon as it's much cheaper. I buy it as a 6 pack and now I never have booby or belly sweat.
Apply it to under booby and belly several times daily.

At a guess the 6 pack from Amazon costs about £10.

Gwenhwyfar · 26/07/2018 08:24

"No, I don't sweat, I merely glow."

Nobody has claimed they don't sweat have they? Some of us have just questioned why people are getting such extreme reactions. Paper cuts are not normal.

"Oh, and by the way it's not even hot. It's glorious. You ought to enjoy it."

Well, it's cold for most of the year so yes, we should enjoy it when we have good weather. Also, MN is a British website and not confined to the south of England. The weather is not the same everywhere.

"No one is stopping you enjoying it Gorgon! "

Maybe nobody's stopping Gorgon, but people are stopping me. Those who put really strong aircon everywhere. Can't go to certain cafes and shops and I just about manage at work with a jumper because of the heat phobics.

theworldaccordingtome · 26/07/2018 08:25

'Chub rub'? Paper cut fanny? Oh my gosh people, I'm no stranger to a cheese board and don't get any of this! No wonder so many people are complaining about the heat if this is what is going on. I had no idea. My sympathies!

NotAnotherNoughtiesTune · 26/07/2018 08:26

Not so much an issue now but when AF arrives I expect it will be hellish.

I have mega underboob sweat though and as I'm a bit fat my belly gets very stickySmile

Gwenhwyfar · 26/07/2018 08:29

" I'm on 7 showers a day and still feel gross."

Too many showers aren't good for your skin. Sounds like you have a very low tolerance for the feel of sweat on your skin.

RiverTam · 26/07/2018 09:19

Well, that was the night from hell in the airless soup of our bedroom (29 degrees, fact fans!). Can’t wait to get away from this, and already dreading returning to it! 34 fucking degrees today. Yeuch.

waterlego6064 · 26/07/2018 09:50

Gwen, it sounds like you really feel the cold! I honestly think most people, if asked, would say they welcome the opportunity to be in an air conditioned space during this weather.

If public spaces were not air conditioned, would you be ok with the inevitable increase of BO from other people?

nightowlzombiemum · 26/07/2018 10:03

@gladallover yes! This weather makes me feel frisky Grin

CantankerousCamel · 26/07/2018 10:29

How do you manage to exercise if you can’t feel sweat on your skin?

I am generally always sweating. My job is sweaty and my training is sweaty. Even walking the dog is sweaty!!

Yes it’s summer but I am so active that the sweat is not abnormal

GorgonLondon · 26/07/2018 10:38

Treating this post as if it were a genuine request for information...

If you look back at my posts specifically, every one was made in response to a sweeping statement that someone made about other people, such as

"Even those people who say they love hot weather all want it to stop now"

No, we don't.

"None of those who are enjoying the weather live in London"

Yes, we do.

I also think that the hysteria about what is really not very hot weather at all is a bit weird and someone should speak a bit of common sense. As I say, I've been in Cyprus and in Spain in temperatures well into the 40s, when you can't go outside for most of the day and kids are keeling over with heatstroke. This is not like that. It trivialises what it's really like to be in a truly hot place.

And pouring with sweat all over your body, getting 'paper cuts' on your vulva and so on, is not right and shouldn't be happening.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 26/07/2018 10:48

Whatever floats your boat, Gorgon.

It was a rhetorical question.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 26/07/2018 10:50

You do realise calling posters hysterical is very misogynistic though?

GorgonLondon · 26/07/2018 10:59

a) Obviously I know the derivation of the term hysteria.

b) I didn't call posters hysterical and I was referring to the hysteria in the media, not just on here.

c) Trying to 'win' a trivial internet argument by shoehorning in wild accusations of misogyny is a bit silly, really, isn't it?

Enjoy the sun!

CantankerousCamel · 26/07/2018 11:09

I don’t understand why people are getting paper cuts in their vulvas? Is it a small knicker thing?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 26/07/2018 11:10

I’m not here to win anything. I’m here to moan about the weather.

You obviously enjoy that.

These are amazing. So comfortable. I’m so smug walking around in these with dry nether regions and no chafing Grin

Bluntness100 · 26/07/2018 11:12

To be fair I don't think thr paper cut thing is normal either, your skin shouldn't be ripping anywhere on your body, and I doubt the answer is it's just delicate skin.

Clearly it's up to the op if she wishes to see a doctor or not, but I would.

MarsBarsAreShrinking · 26/07/2018 11:14

7 showers a day? WTF? Who would even have time?!
