Seriously it's at least an inch long. I've shaved the f$$$$r off now but what if it comes back? What if there's more? What does it mean? I don't know anyone who has chin hair!!! Am still dealing with hitting forty and being a size sixteen, am not psychologically ready to be the bearded lady as well!!!

It’s hormonal. Pluck, do not shave or get them waxed off (I have to Blush)

LadyRussell · 23/07/2018 20:45

I get waxed I mean - sorry.

Notquiterichenough · 23/07/2018 20:46

Just pluck it out.

Lonecatwithkitten · 23/07/2018 20:46

There will be more, plucking is the way forward.

ChristmasTablecloth · 23/07/2018 20:46

Are you sure you don't know anyone of 40 with some sort of chin hair?

MrsKiplin · 23/07/2018 20:46

Seriously? I never knew this!!

InsomniacAnonymous · 23/07/2018 20:47

What an OTT reaction! Just pluck it out. You have tweezers don't you?

lilicat · 23/07/2018 20:47

Honestly this is a recurring nightmare of mine, you are NOT being unreasonable!!!!!

TicketyBoo83 · 23/07/2018 20:47

Pluck it. This is the first of many, trust me.

Seeingadistance · 23/07/2018 20:47

I was in my late 20s when my first chin hair made its appearance. They're always at least 1cm long before you spot them, and have doubled or tripled in length by the time you locate tweezers.

My DS has been instructed that when I'm in my nursing home he must either visit daily to pluck my chin, or pay someone else to do it.

MrsKiplin · 23/07/2018 20:47

Well my tone is obviously slightly tongue in cheek but I am genuinely quite repulsed.

livefornaps · 23/07/2018 20:49

Nah, I love plucking chin hair! So satisfying!

LadyRussell · 23/07/2018 20:49

I get my chin and upper lip waxed every month.

Have been doing since I was about 37.

MrsKiplin · 23/07/2018 20:49

My dh helpfully suggested I grow it for Movember. Confused

OP posts:
DeadBod · 23/07/2018 20:49

I pluck mine. I also have one on my temple and on the side of my nose. I'm clear one day and then they appear by magic overnight Sad

BearsandHearts · 23/07/2018 20:50

I've been doing mine from mid 20s. I pluck the strays and wax eyebrow and lip

DerelictWreck · 23/07/2018 20:51

Jesus Christ don't shave your chin! Now all those hairs are going to grow back all stubley

FolderReformedScruncher · 23/07/2018 20:51

It's called a hag hair. I thought I had two from two different follicles but I have two coming from one follicle so I have three. Great! : /

MrsKiplin · 23/07/2018 20:51

How have I missed this?! I genuinely thought that as a woman, facial hair was one shitty thing I wouldn't have to face. I stand very corrected! Blush

OP posts:
Cismyass · 23/07/2018 20:53

Fuck me who doesn't have a pet chin hair? Not really something one brags about though is it?

extinctspecies · 23/07/2018 20:53

YANBU. DS - who is 19 & therefore old enough to know better - told me today that I needed to start shaving.

I was v.upset & went to my room to cry.

PositiveVibez · 23/07/2018 20:54

Omg. I would be ecstatic of I only had one chin hair to pluck!!! I have them growing under my chin too.

A magnifying mirror and a decent pair of tweezers.

It's my guilty pleasure to have a good old plucking session when I am all alone, watching dross on telly.

MrsKiplin · 23/07/2018 20:54

Derelictwreck I just panicked and grabbed Dh's Mach 3. I wasn't thinking long term. Confused

OP posts:
LadyRussell · 23/07/2018 20:55

If I didn’t wax I think I would have a beard and moustache Blush

GetOrfMyBin · 23/07/2018 20:56

Be thankful it’s only one, though I do feel your pain. I’m only 31 and I have multiple which I think were made worse by getting them waxed last year. I’ve had an explosion of the fuckers and I can’t attribute it to anything else.

I’m shite at getting them when they’re tiny and DH helps me to get them BlushBlush
