Seriously it's at least an inch long. I've shaved the f$$$$r off now but what if it comes back? What if there's more? What does it mean? I don't know anyone who has chin hair!!! Am still dealing with hitting forty and being a size sixteen, am not psychologically ready to be the bearded lady as well!!!

I started to get a full on beard in my twenties. Apparently common for people with anorexia. It's thick.

I'd give anything to have an odd hair.

ILoveMyDressingGown · 23/07/2018 23:49

I have pcos so have quite a few on my chin and neck. I carry a pair of tweezers with me at all times because there's nothing more annoying than when you feel a thick (they're always thick & wiry), stubbly hair under your thumb and being unable to get it out!

KokoandAllBall · 24/07/2018 00:06

I'm nearly 45 and haven't had a chin hair yet, but my DM got them so I'm sure they're coming!

I hate being out and just feeling one and wondering where the fuck it came from as it wasn't their 10 minutes ago but it 4foot long and curly like a pube

I get those weird long out-of-nowhere hairs, but in random places - next to an eyebrow, an inch under my eye, once on my neck! I wish I knew how they could pop up so fast, it's really odd.

MinesaBottle · 24/07/2018 00:07

I've developed about five in the last year where previously I've only had a couple. Im not sure whether to be more upset about that or the fact that several are white (I'm only 44 and I have v dark hair). It makes it a lot harder to find them to pluck, too!

Jozxyqk · 24/07/2018 00:15

You have 1 hair. I have about 783 of the bastard things... my standard response to boredom these days it to check if I'm sprouting. I'm not even 40 yet.

I have a prediction. You will become an expert on tweezers. No longer will the 79p things be adequate. Oh no, you'll spend £12.99 on the Tweezerman ones because they're much better & fit in your purse.

PixelAteMe · 24/07/2018 00:29

My chin hairs are an endless source of pleasure and entertainment. Oh, the joy of sitting stroking them when I’m concentrating on something! The thrill of catching sight of a few unexpected ones when I put on my makeup! The satisfaction of tugging with all my strength to get the wiry little wankers out!

OP, I pity you for having just the one - but don’t worry, the best is yet to come!

sue51 · 24/07/2018 00:44

I pulled one out recently that was white with a black root. That was novel.

MarcieBlue · 24/07/2018 02:01

Plucking made mine grow back black so i tries shaving and they are still blond. Now I got a mix of black and blond hairs.

Mymomsbetterthanyomom · 24/07/2018 03:07

Fist bump from Oklahoma!I've got tweezers everywhere!!!

MsBagelLady · 24/07/2018 07:22

Pluck it, do NOT shave it. There will not necessarily be more, I have one, grows from a mole and when I first discovered it I thought more would grow but they haven't. I just pluck a ginger splinter type hair from my chin every few months, I don't think anyone else has ever noticed it unless I tell them about it.

Nodancingshoes · 24/07/2018 07:25

I have a couple Blush I just pluck them out

VanillaSugar · 24/07/2018 07:25

What's wrong with shaving?

Nodancingshoes · 24/07/2018 07:26

Ha Sue51 - I have 1 grey eyebrow hair, it's very strange

LongSummerDays · 24/07/2018 07:27

I found 3 on my chin as we were driving to Asda last week and I didn't have my tweezers with me (I swear they weren't on my chin when I looked in the mirror 10 minutes earlier!) I was devastated.

Felt like there was going to be a tannoy announcement about the bearded lady in aisle 6! Blush

HerondaleDucks · 24/07/2018 09:30

I have PCOS and have been plucking hairs as thick as razor wire from my chin since 19. Pluck them shaving will only make it 9000 times worse

Confusedbeetle · 24/07/2018 09:32

Ha Ha wait until you get into your 60's. Pluck pluck pluck

Aroundtheworldandback · 24/07/2018 22:20

What do you mean 60’s I’m early 50’s and my wrist’s hurting from plucking
