Posting here for traffic

My guilty pleasure is peeling the silver foil off the back of pill packets. DH has a repeat prescription so that guarantees me at least 4 strips a month. It is bizarrely satisfactory to peel it off. Please tell me I'm not alone in having a weird habit

Anyone else have a guilty pleasure/weird habit that you would to confess to?

I eat dry bread. I squash it up and eat it. It takes me back to my childhood (presumably when I was a toddler Grin) and my husband absolutely kills me for it. It’s a very rare comforting treat!

TheStoic · 22/07/2018 12:35

I gave up guilt for Lent one year and never picked it back up again. I just have ‘pleasures’ now.

itsBritneyBeach · 22/07/2018 12:41

@Bellyscreen I do that too!! Squishy bread balls are the best Grin when I was around 6-7 I used to try and toast them on my bedside lamp lightbulb 😂

TornFromTheInside · 22/07/2018 12:42

The shiny foil you get on chocolate, or chocolate bars...

I like to 'iron it out' smooth with my fingers on a table.

Shoot me now - typing that out has made me realised what a bloody sad existence I'm living!

itsBritneyBeach · 22/07/2018 12:44

My weird pleasure is creating dances to every song I sing when I'm alone and timing it perfectly Grin especially when baking and cooking

TornFromTheInside · 22/07/2018 12:52

We are the village green, guilty pleasures society
God bless the baking dance, and chocolate wrapper variety
We are the sad gits clan, in our eclectic entirety
Dry bread's no toil, we pull silver foil, and we're full of impropriety!

Eliza9917 · 22/07/2018 13:08

Why would your DH care if you eat squashed dry bread?

funmummy48 · 22/07/2018 13:13

Kraft Cheese Slices....utterly tasteless and plastic in consistency but I love to sneak one from the fridge every now and then. I'm not sure which I love most, slipping back the thin plastic sheet which encases them, or rolling the cheese slice up like a mini carpet and inserting it into my mouth! Excuse me.......just off to the fridge. 😂

Hooli · 22/07/2018 13:18

I think a guilty pleasure can only be called that if you genuinely feel guilty when doing it.

Mine is looking at one bedroom flats on Rightmove and imagining living alone in them Grin

MakeMineALarge1 · 22/07/2018 13:19

Smarties and salt & vinegar hula hoops.

And dont judge me...........................................
a Greggs Sausage Roll, theres not much I won't do for one of those!

venetian25 · 22/07/2018 13:20

@Hooli

This is mine too. Glad it's not just me!

Hooli · 22/07/2018 13:23

@venetian25 ha! I get really into it too. Start imagining how I'd decorate it, where my sofa would go, pick out bedding and soft furnishings.

Raffles1981 · 22/07/2018 13:25

Watching terrible TV. No one knows, apart from my little brother, that I watch Ex On The Beach. Cannot tell you how pleased I was to see an American version has appeared on my Now TV box Blush

EnglishRose13 · 22/07/2018 13:28

I'm almost 30 and I play The Sims.

venetian25 · 22/07/2018 13:29

@Hooli

Ah yes exactly this, and then my fantasy world gets interrupted by moaning teenagers and grumpy husband.

BadLad · 22/07/2018 13:30

I will never stop playing the sims Grin

Forkrightorf · 22/07/2018 13:34

I'm nearly 30 and watch YouTubers like Zoella, Alfie Deyes & Tanya Burr. I know it's trash but I love it Blush

PeppaP · 22/07/2018 13:35

I hope you really do feel the guilt when eating foie gras badlad

My guilty pleasure is feigning uti’s and ‘missing out’ on family bike rides.

Emmasmum2013 · 22/07/2018 13:47

Chip butties
Foie Gras

Stop, you bad boy!!! No need to feel guilty about any of them

Mine are:

Playing Pokemon games on my NintendoDS (j know, I'm too old. It's just so relaxing just running round and catching pokemon). Same for Animal Crossing. The most relaxing games!

BadLad · 22/07/2018 13:52

I hope you really do feel the guilt when eating foie gras badlad

Definitely not while - it tastes too good for that. Usually afterwards, while paying the bill.

BadLad · 22/07/2018 13:53

Stop, you bad boy!!! No need to feel guilty about any of them

Ironically I now feel guilty abou my post Grin

Barbaro · 22/07/2018 13:58

I love the Jeremy Kyle show! It's great to listen to at work, kind of just reminds you that when you're having a bad day, it's aways worse for someone else. Usually Jeremy.. Grin

jaimebravo · 22/07/2018 14:47

I second the Jeremy Kyle show, it is my very guilty secret that nobody knows about.
DS1 nearly lifted the lid on this when he was younger telling my DH about the "Angry man show" that I was watching during the day..Thankfully I got away with that oneBlush

InspectorIkmen · 22/07/2018 14:51

Fish sticks from Lidl. There. I've said it.

I'm pretty sure they're not closely related to actual fish and I've never been brave enough to look at what's actually in them because let's face it - at 79p for 10 it's not going to be lobster is it Grin

I crave the fishy bastards though I always eat them alone Blush Blush
