Posting here for traffic

My guilty pleasure is peeling the silver foil off the back of pill packets. DH has a repeat prescription so that guarantees me at least 4 strips a month. It is bizarrely satisfactory to peel it off. Please tell me I'm not alone in having a weird habit

Anyone else have a guilty pleasure/weird habit that you would to confess to?

Reading Tatler and pretending I'm absolutely filthy loaded

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 22/07/2018 15:00

Fish finger sandwiches.

poppy196 · 22/07/2018 15:02

PeppeP ... think the foie gras comment went over people's heads .
Eating foie gras is basically saying I don't give a shit about animal suffering .

scaryteacher · 22/07/2018 15:04

Taking the foil top off a new pack of Lurpak spreadable.
A Georgette Heyer novel, read lying on the sofa with a cat or two for company, a pot of Fortnum's smoked Earl grey, and a pack of custard creams.

I should name change for this because it's so disgusting, but when I eat an orange, I break it into segments, bite the end off each segment and suck out the contents, then put them back on the plate.
Then I wait 10 minutes before eating them because the enzymes in your saliva change the taste.

You may judge me now, I dont care Grin

MargotMoon · 22/07/2018 15:11

@Raffles1981 I came on to say watching Ex On The Beach and also Geordie Shore. It's such dross but I love it. I'm watching from the start and have to intersperse it with quality TV, not just because I can feel it melting my brain but also because I binge watch a whole series in a few days and don't want to run out

@UpstartCrow Do you mean you leave the flesh part of the segments for 10 minutes and then eat them or chew them and the re-eat them? And how does it change the enzymes? Asking for a friend Grin

UpstartCrow · 22/07/2018 15:18

Tell ''your friend'' its 'chew them a bit then leave them then re eat them' and she should try it Grin

MayhapsIAm · 22/07/2018 15:33

Watching x-factor/the voice/talent show reaction videos on YouTube - I don't watch any of those on the tv, I think they're shit. In fact reaction videos of all kinds

possumgoddess · 22/07/2018 15:37

Mug of cocoa, dry bread (the cheap sliced kind) rolled into cigars and dipped into the cocoa. Yummy. More of a winter treat though.....

flumposie · 22/07/2018 15:37

smarties ( I'm 47 and have a tube every day, always been my favourite chocolate ) crisp sandwiches, nutella on its own.

It's quicker and easier to segment an orange.
Get a fruit knife (a short serrated knife not like the one in this video) and do this:

It is really easy and quick once you've done it once or twice.

I don’t feel guilty about enjoying things Grin

I'm in my 30s and up until recently I made money from playing the Sims because I was so into it Grin no shame at all!

My guilty pleasure is sucking milk through Twix bars with each end bitten off ... also works with KitKats.

That's pure witchcraft

And yet... why do I want to try it!

I've been cursed by curiosity

Rewinding the telly whenever there's a small child with a strong regional accent on so I can listen to it again, no idea why I find it entertaining. Love kids with strong accents, any accent will do!

Tobebythesea · 22/07/2018 16:12

Nutella with a spoon. Yum.

Andthatsthat · 22/07/2018 16:14

I take long naps whenever I can!

One day a week I have no afternoon school run and finish work by 2 at the latest. I should be productive with this time, but more often than not it’s a loooonnngggg nap!!

Same!!! I have to read a book afterwards sometimes to remind my brain that there is more to life Grin

WasFatNowThin · 22/07/2018 16:19

Tying chocolate wrappers into neat knots and watching Dynasty.

meganerk · 22/07/2018 16:21

I like to chew my toothbrush Blush I just love the way it feels when I grind the bristles between my teeth.

DubaiismyBlackpool · 22/07/2018 16:22

Ooo, kitkat - I snap each finger down the snappy bit, then nibble off the choc around the wafer. Then carefully lift the choc on the top, then eat the finger. It's pure bliss.
Twix - put in fridge for about 30 mins to chill the choc and caramel. Then 'peel' off the caramel top, then nibble the 'excess' choc from the sides of the biscuit and then eat said biscuit.
To simply open and eat either is a complete waste of said treat.
