I eat a mango every night. And put a teaspoon of coconut oil in my first coffee of the morning.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 18/07/2018 14:06

Warm water with lemon in - a warm as you can bear it.
Black coffee
Greasy food / Chinese takeaway

Exercise can help so if you can't take the baby out in the buggy then make an effort to walk around the house, up and down stairs etc.

Get a curry?

Oranges do it for me.

A packet of sugar free polo mints! That will get most people moving and quite quickly too.

JayeAshe · 18/07/2018 15:01

1 tablespoon of ground linseeds in yoghurt or porridge, followed by 2x glasses of fluid. Up to 2 tablespoons as needed

CocoaGin70 · 18/07/2018 16:23

Diabetic sweets or chocolate. Overnight cure I promise.

Homemade lentil soup or dahl. Amazingly effective. With seeded bread.

5foot5 · 18/07/2018 16:54

Porridge

MIdgebabe · 18/07/2018 17:00

Water, Star jumps...very vigorous exercise, massage tummy clockwise, especially where you can feel the poo and I think someone already said get feet up somyour knees are higher than your bum. And of course relax...take a book or sing a song because once you think about it you can stop it happening

badgeronabicycle · 18/07/2018 17:07

Black coffee works a treat for me. Better than senna, laxido and docusate.

MindBodyChocolate · 18/07/2018 17:10

Strong black coffee and a walk. Good luck!!

powershowerforanhour · 18/07/2018 17:11

Drink as much water as you can and walk and run for as long as you can.

3luckystars · 18/07/2018 17:12

You can take FYBOGEL drink one every day, and try to fit in 3 litres of water.

Also prunes and pears are good.

I have a brown bread recipe that is good too but you should take fybogel every day really.

Passing consultant gut surgeon.....

Macrogols (laxido and movicol) are not absorbed into the body by definition- that's how they work they are osmotic laxatives.
They are completely safe in pregnancy and BF'ing. I prescribe all the time.
The only reason "off licence" is no pharma company has bothered to do expensive testing in pregnancy.
Both available over the counter.
Start with two sachets and titrate up accordingly.

Here is what you need, you can thank me later Smile

Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb...if you can find it and stomach it.
Constipation is no fun.
Took me 12 days to go after first baby. Ow ow ow ow. I still want to cry when I think about - like birth all over again.
There'd been a bit of cutting, rummaging and patching during the birth and I think I was subconsciously terrified of what might happen if I pushed...and of course my collection of sizeable botty grapes I'd cultivated during pregnancy didn't help.
I'd second the lentil recommendation, also muesli, prunes and natural yoghurt, plums and beetroot juice work for me.
You could stick it all in together and make a delicious 'evacuation' shake Grin
Good luck!
