Shits about to go down in the salon.

Im a customer.

Girl has come in with hair down to her bum.

Requested it's cut to the collar bone.

Stylist tied it in little pony fails and cut removed the bands and it's up her neck the girl hasn't seen it properly yet and it looks slightly longer in the front. They have taken her over to wash her hair.

Omg omg omg shes going to go mad! She's just returned from basin whilst I'm typing! That is not collorbone length they have fucking bobbed her!!

I've witnessed someone have bum length hair chopped into a bob before, but at her request, and she still cried when it was done because it didn't look how she'd imagined. Despite them doing exactly as she'd asked. I can't imagine how awful it must be to have a hair cut so different to the request and know you can't do anything about it. Once it's off it's off.

It's around the nape of her neck and to the jaw line. Stylist has fucked off to go and find some fancy ass products to try and smooth this shit show. I've just told her that her hair looks beautiful and suits her. She said thanks but I think she's really upset.

Yes, tell her to ask for a big discount. She definitely shouldn't have to pay full price for the hairdressers cock up.

say something to her quickly, before she leaves.....do not let her pay for this hairstyle - you have to be her mentor now and talk her through this!

I agree with this. At 18-20, she might not have the confidence to make a scene. You do. Be the adult here.

Say to her "Are you happy with that? It's not what you asked for. If you're not happy, don't pay"

Oh, help her find her strength to complain. Suggest she complains if they haven't cut it the way she asked. Approach the stylist yourself maybe?

I am just plucking up the courage to have my hair cut. I have had so many instances like this young lady is having which is why hairdressers worry me so much. Surely it would be wiser for hairdressers to cut slightly longer than requested as once cut it cant be reattached.
Maybe I should leave the hair cutting for a bit longer.
Poor young lady.

Poor girl, that's awful! What a terrible hair dresser, they normally ask customers wanting drastic changes several time to confirm the length.

It hopes she loves it, she wanted a drastic transformation, she might love the difference, and yes, it will grow back to collar bone length. I just hope she is not too shy, pay and spend the rest of the day in tears.

Oh nooooo!! I was in a hairdressers once and a lady came in requesting a few inches off her really quite long hair, the stylist literally cut into her hair above her ear. Like fringe length but across the side of her head. Me and my sister were watching with “wtf just happened” expressions as the poor lady burst into tears. It took everyone working in the salons help to calm her down and persuade her into a lop-sided pixie cut!! All she wanted was a trim Confused
