Girl has come in with hair down to her bum.

Requested it's cut to the collar bone.

Stylist tied it in little pony fails and cut removed the bands and it's up her neck the girl hasn't seen it properly yet and it looks slightly longer in the front. They have taken her over to wash her hair.

The police were pissed off they'd been called for a non-issue. I went away with shit hair and without paying. The police officers agreed (when we were outside) that my hair looked nothing like the picture I'd taken in.

I would go and ask her if she's okay (which she clearly isn't). It will give her the opportunity to voice her feelings to the stylist, perhaps via you! Poor girl.

I went from bum length to a Bob once, I asked for a Rachel(friends)my hair is big and frizzy it looked awful
I thanked her, paid, tipped and cried In bed for four hours and refused to leave the house.

Oh no! Poor girl! I really hope she does actually kick off. If she's anything like me (and many other posters it would seem) she will go home and cry instead. A place that expensive really should do the job right and be pulled up on it when they fuck up.

That’s awful. I hate going to the hairdressers for this reason. Regardless of the price of the salon, they never seem to listen!

Can you not just look over at her and be all like your hair is gorgeous, it looked lovely when you came in but this really suits you. Might make her feel a bit better.

How old is she, OP? You keep referring to her as a "girl" so I assume she's quite young?

Has the stylist mentioned it at all yet? Hope she's brave enough to refuse to pay (I'm not).
Last year I thought I'd treat myself to some subtle highlights. My hair was bright yellow. Was going on holiday in 4 days so had to pay again to get it fixed elsewhere.

Poor girl. Can you quietly ask for the manager and prewarn them? Just say you clearly heard X ask for it to the collarbone and it appears the hairdresser misunderstood. And you wanted them to be aware.

If her hair was down to her bum, chances are her hair grows fast. She wanted it collar bone length and it’s at her neck? That’s a couple months growth. It’ll be collarbone length in no time. This isn’t a disaster.

say something to her quickly, before she leaves.....do not let her pay for this hairstyle - you have to be her mentor now and talk her through this!

I would say to her in front of the stylist 'Didn't you ask for your hair to be cut collar length?' Help her say what she needs to say.
