Another one here who is dead inside. I was mildly disappointed for a few minutes after the winning goal but then found bigger things to worry about!

I'm sad for the team (who did so well), and for my neighbours, who seem to have suffered actual physical agony during that match. It would have been lovely if they at least got to the final.

No, very relieved. Now my event on Sunday might be enjoyable without being dominated by football, and people might stop smashing up ambulances and pretending to be passionate about a sport that they've never paid ten seconds' attention to before.

Not liking football is no excuse to be so happy we lost. I hate football but I still would have liked to see England win.

You're right Bonnie F. I'm British but not English and living in London. They've been a credit to England - played well, behaved well, no prima donnas and a charming and humble manager. They did very well and to get this far was a great achievement.

I do feel bad for all the disappointed kids though, bless them.

It's a shame - but I save feeling gutted for things that actually matter.

I actually think it's a bit pathetic that there's grown adults crying and behaving like their puppy got ran over because a few blokes didn't kick a ball past some wood more times than some other blokes.

No doubt a small percentage of those same pathetic morons will be behaving like thuggish morons too.. but we have to dismiss shit behaviour cause it's footy innit?

I still don't get how the tv channels broadcast across the whole of the uk and the England team keep getting referred to as the national team. That doesn't add up.

Sharron why would that not apply exactly as much to the Croatian team if they had lost?
