Because it sounds like you need your husbands permission, and to appease him in some way, before you are allowed to go shopping.

Confused
Coffeeisyourfriend · 12/07/2018 14:58

itsclaire Okay yeah I see your point there it does a bit but just to clarify the shopping trip was supposed to be my birthday present from DP 2 weeks ago but he keeps putting off going, so asking when he's in a good mood is most likely going to get a good response if that makes sense.
And his usual response to any kind of shopping I want to do is to ask my mum - as I don't drive and he hates shopping!
He did just flat out say no when I did ask but because he's made plans for us to go see his parents on Saturday and forgot to mention them and my DS is playing football on Sunday.
Believe me, I am in no way beholden to my DP for permission or money for anything!

No it doesn't make sense at all as to why you'd put up with that bullshit. That saddens me more than England losing.

He promises you a shopping trip for your birthday, he CBA to take you, but he might if he's in a good mood.. :(
Doesn't sound great....

Coffeeisyourfriend · 12/07/2018 15:11

KlutzyDraconequus Bit ott I think. You don't know the circumstance.
I meant the first post in a very lighthearted way i.e I'm can't go shopping and I'm blaming England! If I wanted relationship advice, I'd have posted a thread in the relevant topic.

KlutzyDraconequus · 12/07/2018 15:12

I think you should.
But hey, who am I to say anything... Happy birthday..

Coffeeisyourfriend · 12/07/2018 15:17

KlutzyDraconequus I'm all good thanks, I'll be shopping next weekend instead if it makes you feel better? With my mother.
Thanks for the late birthday wished though!
Love that no one can take anything with a pinch of salt before assuming the worst of a man. Bloody hell haha!

That’s what I meant when I said I hoped it was a joke!

Coffeeisyourfriend · 12/07/2018 15:26

itsclaire Oh sorry! I didn't understand properly haha I though you meant joke like I hadn't actually asked or something not that I was blaming football lol

itsclaire · 12/07/2018 16:02

"Not in the least 'guttted'. More like 'Don't give a shit' . I jus tlove the way football fans think we'll all share their obsession. It's a fucking game."

You do realise that 26 million watched the match don't you scarbados? So yeah, I think quite a fair few people shared this "obsession* record breaking ratings
