That's all, folks! Goodness only knows what happens now. But at least that Grade A twat is no longer representing us abroad.

Anyone who could consider Boris or JRM as a better choice than Corbyn should qualify for free council tax due to severe moral impairment.

DontBuyANewMumAnyLUSHProduce · 09/07/2018 16:01

I just can't understand why Labour aren't doing ANYTHING - since Brexit vote.
They haven't done a single oppositional thing have they?
No one in Labour seems to criticise JC, but he hasn't actually done anything of any use.

Why don't they rally to keep us in EU which (if it came to a vote) would at least give them a load of tactical LD and proEU Tory votes...
Atm them rooting for Brexit isn't helping anyone is it?

I'm completely politically ignorant but the whole thing seems a total shit show to me.

Luckymummy22 · 09/07/2018 16:01

I also feel a bit sorry for Theresa.

She’s done and dusted.

But oh I would love if she resigned and as a parting shot laid her cards on the table and took all of these idiots down and ruined them.

They cannot mess with the life’s of our children in this way. They need to be held accountable.

Bombardier25966 · 09/07/2018 16:01

Abbott is a bit of a bumbling idiot but her constituency constantly votes for her and seem to do well....to me that says more than her bad interviewing

She's not an idiot at all, she's just bad at public speaking. If you look at her achievements over her career, against a tide of racism and sexism, you'd see a very capable person.

And yes, in an ideal world she'd be far better at interviews. But I'd rather judge someone on what they do in the long term, than a few minutes with a journo intent on tripping them up.

He’s an A1 weapons grade cast iron cunt.

TheFaerieQueene · 09/07/2018 16:02

This certainly isnt the end for Johnson, sadly. He is playing a long game. This country is being ripped apart because of a bitter, narrow minded and self serving Conservative party who have no ones interests at heart, but their own.

TheMonkeyMummy · 09/07/2018 16:03

Another one who thinks he wants to be PM. Great timing after the shower of shit that has been Brexit so far, football fever is high pitch, everyone in good spirits.

ofshoes · 09/07/2018 16:06

Jacob Rees Mogg is a worrying prospect, that Dickensian fuck will have us all tilling the fields for the local squire or in the workhouse.

eyycarumba · 09/07/2018 16:11

@Bombardier25966 I agree! I meant bumbling idiot as that's how she comes across on first impressions. Like I said, I take her by how well she does as an MP for her area, not for her interviews

TattyTshirt · 09/07/2018 16:12

So far it looks likely that Boris will put himself forward as PM or -Hell forbid- Gove! 😱

On the other side there's that snivelling toad Corbyn and his Bumbling Buffoon sidekick. It's not looking good is it?

The best thing would be for Labour to elect a new front man/woman. I wonder what delight that could be? 🤔

jay55 · 09/07/2018 16:15

Trump arrives this week, I’d probably resign rather than have to spend time with him.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 09/07/2018 16:16

Much as I think Ruth Davidson is a good politician, I don't think Brexit and having a tiny baby would mix well...

IsItComingHome · 09/07/2018 16:16

What a bloody mess this is!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/07/2018 16:17

It's all incredibly grim. I'm watching BBC rolling news and just marvelling at the lack of talent in Parliament currently. Nasty shock to see John Redwood speaking, I keep forgetting he's still there.

I'm Scottish, living in London. I've changed my position on Scottish independence since Brexit. Now I hope Scotland leaves the rest of the UK so my children and I can apply for Scottish passports.

As I just comment on the other thread, I don't think there is anything to be pleased about here either.

Brexit is a very hard no win challenge for any prime minister, whatever is agreed someone will be gunning for her, and although I've always really liked Boris, I think he is playing politics here and trying to use Brexit to secure his own future. And that's awful in anyone's books.

I hope he's misjudged and it back fires on him and I'm saddened to say it, but this isn't the time for feathering his own nest. The countries political leaders should be pulling together to get us through this, not trying to secure their own futures.

Disappointed in him.

Tentomidnight · 09/07/2018 16:18

I think he has sights on a mutiny and becoming PM 😱

Imagine, our very own Trump Angry

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/07/2018 16:18

PS Very taken with the idea of having Gareth Southgate as the new Foreign Secretary!

Luckymummy22 · 09/07/2018 16:21

I don’t think SNP would handle a divorce any better.............

Sad to say all our politicians are a disaster.

Bluntness100 · 09/07/2018 16:21

Yeah, I also think this is about him securing his own future, and eight months before we leave the Eu he should be trying to help us secure the best deal possible, not trying to get himself promoted off the back of it

I genuinely think it's shitty behaviour.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/07/2018 16:21

I've always really liked Boris

Blimey.

Labour has some REALLY good people - but they loathe Corbyn so are not in the House of Commons at the moment.
They need to bide their time till the leadership rules are corrected.

the Tories have NOBODY who is competent to drive the bus other than off the cliff at Dover

Libdems are nothing any more

is all a shower of shit really

glitterbiscuits · 09/07/2018 16:23

Can we beg David Miliband to come back?
Vince Cable?
Or if you are Tory minded I rather like Ken Clarke

QuiteUnfitBit · 09/07/2018 16:23

Securing his own future is all about distancing himself from the reality of Brexit, to rise like a phoenix when it's all done and dusted... He definitely doesn't want to be PM now!

QuiteUnfitBit · 09/07/2018 16:23

Can we beg David Miliband to come back?
Vince Cable?

Yes, yes and yes Grin

WorldWideWanderer · 09/07/2018 16:24

It appears that only the gleeful are allowed to post. Well, I'm quite sad about it actually. I was sad that David Davies went but now Boris.... I think they should have backed the compromise and gone for it.
But hey ho, maybe we will have a Rees-Mog and Boris government and a hard Brexit, I'd be up for that.
Makes a change from the bloody football and tennis on the news!!
