That's all, folks! Goodness only knows what happens now. But at least that Grade A twat is no longer representing us abroad.

Another general election by November.

Usernumbers1234 · 09/07/2018 15:20

You do know that Boris is doing this to go for leadership don’t you OP?

worridmum · 09/07/2018 15:21

Basically the tories know Brexit is going to be a shit show so no one wants to be associated with it, I bet they are angling for another general election so Labour gets into power so they can blame the calimity that is Brexit on Labour and the general public being generally dim and short memoried will lap it all up....

SavvyBlancBlonde · 09/07/2018 15:22

he’ll be HIGNFY next week

DidimusStench · 09/07/2018 15:22

Twin Uncle Knobheads ruling ‘The Free World’. We’re in for a treat Hmm

QuiteUnfitBit · 09/07/2018 15:22

All dire news! I vote for Boris for PM, with JRM and Gove doing the Brexit deal. When it all goes belly up, they'd only have themselves to blame.

The only problem with that scenario is that I don't have an alternative to the British passport... Sad

LadyLance · 09/07/2018 15:22

Boris doesn't want to be PM right now, he knows Brexit is toxic. Otherwise he would have gone for it when Cameron resigned. If anything, he is in a less strong position now, as he made several gaffs as foreign secretary and I think more people are starting to see through him.

If there is a vote of no-confidence, and May lost, Johnson, Gove and Rees-Moggs would hopefully split the Brexit/extreme right vote between them.

I do think a vote of no-confidence is likely, but it's not 100% that May would lose it.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 09/07/2018 15:22

Brilliant news, hopefully brings down the odious Tories in the long run.

QuiteUnfitBit · 09/07/2018 15:22

worridmum I think you have it!

NewYearNewMe18 · 09/07/2018 15:23

He'll be back, bigger , stronger , better … oh that was the Bionic Man ...same thing …… He's popular with the punters. Him and JRM. Both very popular. Not on MN of course.

PeterPiperPickedSeaShells · 09/07/2018 15:23

Yep, he can now play the martyr and moan about how terrible "May's Brexit" is for the country. TWAT

Ta1kinPeace · 09/07/2018 15:23

Another general election by November

This is the decade of stupid polls.

Time after time being asked stupid questions with only stupid options for answers.... don’t know if I can be arsed with it anymore to be honest.

I am in no way a tory or even a sympathiser but TM has managed pretty well in context. She’s trying to deliver an exit she doesn’t believe in and has been given no true plan to follow other than ‘out’. She literally cannot please anyone because what brexit means changes from person to person, day to day. She may well be fucking us all over but who knows?!?

I bet she’s thinking ‘cheers for the complex political and economic guidance you bunch of vote holding bastards’

keyboardkate · 09/07/2018 15:26

May should call their bluff and resign today. That would be brilliant, let the backstabbers fight amongst themselved for the poisoned chalice.

But I suppose being Tory, she will fight on to the bitter end, and she might survive alright, but for what?

Mummyoflittledragon · 09/07/2018 15:27

There are people out there, who think Bozo and Rees-Moggs are “wonderful”. One of them is my mother, who voted Brexit obvs.

I have no idea what is going to happen to this country now. If this is to bring about a new referendum, bring it on. However, I fear the country could well and truly go to the dogs if one of these misogynists ends up “leading” it into the gates of hell.

Wakemeuuuup · 09/07/2018 15:27

Wish he'd resign as MP too!!

GloGirl · 09/07/2018 15:30

If not Boris for PM then who?

I am NO fan of Boris but the very thought of JRM as leader, or David Davies, or Theresa May, or any Tory... Oh hang on I'm not being helpful.

Who are the serious contenders?

Whispers, makes me which Osborne was back in politics

Noextremes2017 · 09/07/2018 15:31

Best news of the day. That opportunistic upper class twit (or substitute another letter if you prefer) has no principles, no ability and no clue about anything......

keyboardkate · 09/07/2018 15:32

IF there is a leadership challenge, my money is on Sajid Javid.

KidLorneRoll · 09/07/2018 15:32

Great news, hopefully he'll take Teresa the witch with her and we might run out of the very few remaining utter fucking idiots who still think brexit is in any way a good idea.

Or, we are just even further up shit creek. One of the two.

Seasawride · 09/07/2018 15:32

But where’s the alternative plan Boris and Gove?? If you could do so much better, deliver a hard Brexit and not wreak the economy and cost jobs where is your plan??

They havnt got one because it’s sll crap. Hopefully TM will deliver her plan, what’s the alternative???

If labour were credible I would vote in a heartbeat but they would be dreadful.

Boris hasn’t got the support for PM. If they try and oust TM there could be a GE and labour could win and the Tory majority MPs see that.

No one wants a GE the country would be furious.

As you say op Boris has shown himself to be a dreadful foreign sec and although not stupid hes no politician or leader.

Grandmaswagsbag · 09/07/2018 15:32

This x1000. I don’t think any of the so called brexiteers will mount any challenge at all. Brexit is a poison chalice, they get to swan off into the sunset thinking their dignity is intact and they didn’t go against their word when the truth is non of them believed it would happen in the 1st place and they’ve been shitting themselves since the morning of the result.

StealthPolarBear · 09/07/2018 15:33

If he wanted to be pm why didn't he go for it last time? And gove. I've never understood that - at the time it was said it was a job no one wanted. Fine but what has changed?

BabiesComeWithHats · 09/07/2018 15:34

Where the fuck is the fucking opposition? Why is NOBODY suggesting an alternative plan? My 6yo could suggest a more plausible alternative, so honestly, why is it so hard for an elected opposition?

I cannot fathom the depths of incompetence this Tory party is plumbing
I cannot bring myself to vote for Corbyn
I WANT A FUCKING ALTERNATIVE. Anyone??

Usernumbers1234 · 09/07/2018 15:35

Stealth Polar

Because despite appearances, Boris isn’t dumb. He saw this shit storm brewing and let May take the first run and most of the flak as a consequence.
