I honestly think keep harping back to who voted what and having daft pissing competitions on who was more realistic, clever, insiteful and right is really boring.

From both sides. Grow up now.
We are where we are and we have to try and make the bloody thing work as best we can.

Sooo sick of hearing brexiteers triumph and remainers smugness.

Like being back at school.

GrouchoMrx · 10/07/2018 15:30

"Think of the children!"

runningkeenster · 10/07/2018 15:32

So what was their solution for the Irish border problem? Or were they just planning on tearing up the Good Friday agreement and returning to civil war

I don't think they knew. But what I absolutely can't understand is that when David C first floated the idea of a referendum, he must have been advised that it was a term of the GFA that both countries were in the EU.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 10/07/2018 15:32

No, we don't. The people who voted and supported this cluster fuck need to make it work. Everybody else thinks its a disaster. Burn your own house down, don't expect sympathy.

TattyTshirt · 10/07/2018 15:33

*This sniping and infighting should have been done before article 50 was triggered. You should have agreed the basics before starting he countdown clock.

You’ve been very badly served by your politician*

Agreed! In fact I think the political facts for and against brexit should have been laid out clearly before the referendum. They were'nt - Cameron, smugly, thought everyone was happy with the way the UK was being "managed". The result shows that the majority were not happy.
We have David Cameron to thank for all this mess. He legged it swiftly leaving others to clean up his shit.

The problem we have now is no party is able to deliver what the people of the UK want as there is too much infighting within the parties.

But a successful Government led by Corbyn.... Not in a million years!

Seasawride · 10/07/2018 15:43

Ghosto

What’s shrills?

burn your own house down

What on Earth are you on about bab? I voted remain like many others on here.

Do you ever answer questions? Shall I make a guess thst shrills are your insults for people who disagree with you?

Typical momentum vileness

Seasawride · 10/07/2018 15:45

Tatty

The Tories May be fucking it up big time but god knows what labour would do.

Ta1kinPeace · 10/07/2018 15:58

THey were
Brexiters dubbed it "project Fear"
but never came up with any answers themselves
remember the "in depth briefing papers"

Not sure if it's linked...but we may all see the return of Farage. I really wish we could have sorted this mess without his interference. Lots to look forward to in the coming months... Hmm

BishopBrennansArse · 10/07/2018 16:15

Shills rather than shrills 🙄 are posters from various political party central offices who go onto message boards and pose as normal posters and bark propaganda.

I just call them astroturfers, much the same thing. They're all over the place here and really obvious to see.

Seasawride · 10/07/2018 16:16

Hoping for a leadership change in labour and hoping Europe will negotiate with us in good faith and we get a fair deal.

Then a general election and a good strong sensible labour government led by Yvette Cooper

Ta1kinPeace · 10/07/2018 16:19

With hubby Ed Balls back as Chancellor Hmm

And how exactly do you expect Yvette to get past the new leadership rules ?

TattyTshirt · 10/07/2018 16:29

Then a general election and a good strong sensible labour government led by Yvette Cooper

Hadn't she already put herself forward as Labour Leader previously, after her DH quit? Didn't she succeed her DH as Home Secretary (or something)?

TattyTshirt · 10/07/2018 16:32

The Tories May be fucking it up big time but god knows what labour would do.

No better that's for sure! We are in a bit of a pickle aren't we?

CambridgeAnaglypta · 10/07/2018 17:14

I'm no Labour supporter but would certainly take a look if Yvette Cooper was leader.

minniebirdy · 10/07/2018 17:26

He’s probably the cleverest man in Parliament don’t be fooled by the image

TattyTshirt · 10/07/2018 17:30

I think anybody would be better than Corbyn....Without him Labour stand a chance.

I thought May would have been determined enough to not let EU leaders trample all over us....

If she can't do it I have no faith in anyone else..

I always voted Labour. But these past few years of labour shadow hasn't instilled confidence. That oaf Carwyn Jones has sailed Wales down the river. I suspect that's why Wales voted the majority to leave. Probably a stand against UK politics at the moment.

People couldn't wait to get shot of Cameron. Unfortunately Labour, under Corbyn, weren't strong enough to take the lead in GE. He wouldn't have taken us smoothly out of brexit that's for sure! He'd still be faffing around..

TM has an impossible job. She's not a quitter but can only do what the rest of her party agree to. Impossible!

She's gone for a softer brexit yet the remainers still want her blood. The leavers voted to leave. She can't please anybody.

Toysintheattic29 · 10/07/2018 17:34

No you are not BU. He’s a wanker and not as ditzy as he likes people to think but I believe quite devious and definitely not to be trusted as we know from the rubbish he spouted on Brexit

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 10/07/2018 17:34

So two more have resigned

I have no doubt Boris is going to challenge May

I hope he falls flat on his face but I’m not sure he will

Seasawride · 10/07/2018 17:47

Tatty

She did stand and was defeated unfortunately and until labour members either come to their senses or change back the membership voting rules we are fucked.

Enthusiasm

You know I think if he did he would be defeated. The no confidence vote could trigger a general election and those Brexit lovers who have some sense won’t want this.

According to his biographer Boris isn’t popular enough sighing his party to succeed.

I hope May stays and sees it through as the least worse option.

BishopBrennansArse · 10/07/2018 17:49

There has been a strong indication within the party that it doesn't want Blue Labour as per the Blair era.

Seasawride · 10/07/2018 17:50

See I don’t think he is thst clever because he can’t hide his deviousness.

He has fucked up badly as FS and I know most people won’t care about thst but other MPs will and are dissapointed with him.

Politicians like Blaire were clever enough to hide their deviousness. Boris isn’t. A good colonist and witty but no leader.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 10/07/2018 17:51

More Tory resignations - 2 vice chairs. Strong and stable folks.
