There's some really funny people on here and some stuff has me smiling for days. One I read recently was about the names small children called their parents instead of Mummy and Daddy. One poster wrote that her DC called her DH "Daddy" and called her "Not Daddy" - still makes me smile.

trying to remember the loo roll one.. was it in his shed and had sandpaper in it??

goose1964 · 05/07/2018 21:17

One in style and beauty about the difference between your idea of an outfit and the reality of it.

jilldoyoulikeowls · 05/07/2018 21:44

loo rolls just had me in stitches 😂

OohOohMrPeevly · 05/07/2018 21:56

That loo roll misunderstanding (100 rolls in case anyone didn't spot it) randomly reminded me of a letter a woman sent into a magazine a couple of years ago.

She was going to the supermarket in her lunchtime and she asked her colleagues if they needed anything whilst she was there. One woman asked her to get her some new zealand cheddar and as she was buying some cheese for herself, she asked the woman on the deli counter to do an "NZ" on the new zealand cheddar so she wouldn't get it mixed up with her own cheese. The deli woman looked very puzzled but got a pen and went to work. She then held out the wrapped cheese and said apologetically "I tried my best but it doesn't look much like an hen's head"

forthelifeofpomme · 07/07/2018 16:18

Literally just now, I was reading the thread about miss hearing the 3 Lions football song as 'three lines' and 'Jules Rimet still gleaming' as 'jewels remain still gleaming'... when someone chimed in with: "I think 4 weeks pregnant is a bit abstract for men and women... you know you’re pregnant but there generally aren’t any major symptoms and obviously no visible signs."
Then "Oops wrong thread, sorry!"
How you can post on the wrong thread is utterly beyond me!

morethanacondiment · 07/07/2018 17:22

Oh, did I miss someone else mentioning the poster who was pissed off that a teacher told off her son and called him Ken, when the real Ken was pretty unique in school because he only had one eye... and was called Ken ConfusedGrin

Yesterdays chicken thugs were entertaining.

The 'Slithery' baby name thread was hilarious. Can't find it though.

ShatnersBassoon · 07/07/2018 20:27

I'm pleased that 'I'm so sorry Alan' is remembered. My mum would be mortified if she knew Grin

I love the overheard on the bus type threads. Nothing is funnier than tiny glimpses into other people's idiosyncrasies.

I only saw it mentioned on another funny things thread but I do like the story of someone's dp going to get some lube from the bathroom in the dark, and then ending up with an orange palm :o
