There's some really funny people on here and some stuff has me smiling for days. One I read recently was about the names small children called their parents instead of Mummy and Daddy. One poster wrote that her DC called her DH "Daddy" and called her "Not Daddy" - still makes me smile.

That penis beaker thread from a few years ago that made it into the national newspapers was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣

PrincessMargaret · 04/07/2018 17:53

Thickoes of TripAdvisor was brilliant.

buddahbelly · 04/07/2018 17:55

Im so glad you mentioned the Brian and his yoni massage - all the replies were funny but the one that sticks in my mind was someone asking does Brian take PayPal Grin

I was also on the I posed on my skirt at work today one - that still cracks me up. I had the nan who farted all the way down the hall and back again while she paid the milkman - she was still alive when I wrote that and id forgotten all about even sharing it with the world. god I miss her antics!

Neolara · 04/07/2018 17:59

This sad story about a dead cat....

alltoomuchrightnow · 04/07/2018 18:00

don't have time to read through the whole thread right now but I always loved the one where the lady had a plumber (or other type of workman) in and he was the spit of Brian Wilson and she had to get a beach boys reference into what she said to him (which she did manage..)

alltoomuchrightnow · 04/07/2018 18:01

also Sharon's post..was she the dinosaur lady?

SuspiciouslyMinded · 04/07/2018 18:03

The penis beaker classic thread obviously. I was crying with laughter reading that.

alltoomuchrightnow · 04/07/2018 18:05

Damn you! I've just applied makeup. And then remembered Angela Hernandez. And sitting here crying with makeup streaming

alltoomuchrightnow · 04/07/2018 18:07

Damn I can't stop and I need to go to IKEA. I'm wheezing, shoulders shaking and eyes streaming. Also the tiny wanker..

Is my hedgehog fucked? (Pics)www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/2899062-is-my-hedgehog-fucked-pics

shrunkenhead · 04/07/2018 18:49

AIBU about the man on the bus
Read this and you'll be none the wiser about what a fly seat is but you'll be crying with laughter!

IWouldBeSuperb · 04/07/2018 18:50

Has no one mentioned the OP who thought she'd cooked her hamster?!

I nearly died laughing!

Especially at the helpful posters trying to reassure her -

"You can't have cooked a hamster - they don't DISSOLVE - you're confusing them with ASPRIN." Grin

spiderlight · 04/07/2018 18:58

There was a thread ages ago about the embarrassment of accidentally bursting into song. One post that really tickled me and still makes me giggle when it randomly pops into my head was the poster's husband opening the front door to go to work one morning, stepping outside and randomly belting out 'Mmmmm, Danone'.

Hidillyho · 04/07/2018 18:59

Not sure if this has been mentioned as this is half a place marking post so I can find once DC has gone to bed but my memorable ones are:

The person who had to post Maui in each of her posts (I think it was about her wedding destination)

One about someone wanting to put sushi in the fridge at work but couldn’t because her colleague kept throwing it in the bin

And lastly the poster who’s granny was coming from Spain to help deal with her neighbours who had knocked a whole in their flat/house so they could access the ops garden

Dontbuymesocks · 04/07/2018 19:01

The Hugo thread:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3124765-long-name-for-hugo?pg=1&order=

This just cracks me up!

campion · 04/07/2018 19:08

As above... Hugo thread. Hilarious

marymoosmum · 04/07/2018 19:08

The PFB thread was comedy gold, the woman that took of a layer of clothing so she had one less in than her child so they weren't cold, I told my friend that story the other day. Grin

ProPenguin · 04/07/2018 19:09

Can anyone remember the thread where the OP had tried to reassure someone struggling to have a baby by IVF that one of her children had been an IVF baby? Except it wasn’t true and she was worried it would be found out? Really funny the way it was written - much funnier than it sounds!

Doman · 04/07/2018 19:11

The one that reduced me to hysteria was the woman whose neighbours regularly hang black bin liners on the line to dry. Hysterical.
