DH just gone away for three days, otherwise he would talk me down I’m sure. But right now it’s just me and the DC and I’ve opened DDs room to discover this.... nest? Chrysalis? It’s about 5cm x 3cm. Help!

Owl pellet. I can't offer an explanation for how it ended up indoors though.

StopPOP · 20/06/2018 22:46

What a treat!

This was my last half hour-

Did a bit of "Eewing"
Disagreed it was a snail
Almost fainted at the massive moth suggestion
Revived at "wiggly foot"
Relieved at Gerald

Top drawer everyone!

Loyaultemelie · 20/06/2018 22:52

Go Gerald Go!

ApocalypseNowt · 20/06/2018 22:57

PoodlesOfFund · 20/06/2018 22:59

Why would a snail leave a poo?? Do snails even poo??

How could they not poo?!

They shit all over my planters and garden chars. Crusty little twats

Fucking hell, I've been reading this peeping through my fingers. I bloody hate snails Shock

AjasLipstick · 20/06/2018 23:09

Poor misshapen Gerald! Everyone vilified him....laughed, pointed....recoiled in horror.

Now he's gone...to be further rejected by his own community probably.

tastylancs · 20/06/2018 23:12

Will post photos of him tomorrow 😂😂😂

Has Gerald wiped his bottom and washed his hands? If not you need to get him back in immediately. And also give him a cloth to clean your wall, the dirty bugger..

spudlet7 · 20/06/2018 23:23

Read this thread in bed and cat started moving at the end of the bed. Nearly shat myself. Still, best thread ever. Bravo OP 👏🏼

Cindie943811A · 20/06/2018 23:25

Research has shown that if you remove snails (eg throw them into the neighbours garden or dump them up to a mile or so away) they will return. So OP watch out because Gerald will be attempting to return to DD’s room.

Eenymeeny123 · 20/06/2018 23:29

Sleep tight op, don't let the bed bugs, alien beings, mutant snails bite😴🐌

StaplesCorner · 20/06/2018 23:34

Has Gerald wiped his bottom and washed his hands? - well OP did give him a towel ....

cakedup · 20/06/2018 23:47

I have left the Tupperware with him as a gift.

You gave a snail a Tupperware container? Do you think he'll have much use for that?

Quantumblue · 20/06/2018 23:53

Night Gerald. Scale that wall again tomorrow.

Orlandointhewilderness · 20/06/2018 23:53

god that was a rollercoaster! ta OP!

^ Methinks Gerald's garden pest airbnb empire has just begun!

Valsie1 · 20/06/2018 23:56

Glad all is ok now but that thing looked HUGE on the wall in the photo...like it was about 2ft x 1ft 😱.

LauderSyme · 21/06/2018 00:06

Gosh what a strange and large looking snail on the wall! That is unsettling.

Ski40 · 21/06/2018 00:20

Aaaahaha sorry I had not read down that far and have just gone back to carry on reading now everyone is snoring at last! So a giant snail!! Dear lord I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.
(Creeps out of bed and closes the window sharp) 😱😱😱

ReanimatedSGB · 21/06/2018 00:43

Bowl or something over it, stiff piece of card behind; knock it off the wall and deposit it outside somewhere. Somewhere fairly far away so it/any contents can't crawl back indoors and go up your nose overnight.
