DH just gone away for three days, otherwise he would talk me down I’m sure. But right now it’s just me and the DC and I’ve opened DDs room to discover this.... nest? Chrysalis? It’s about 5cm x 3cm. Help!

Op that would have freaked me out completely. I am actually happy that it appears to be a snail.

GetInMaBelleh · 20/06/2018 20:30

How do I see on phone?

MrsDc7 · 20/06/2018 20:30

I can’t see the pic!

SweetheartNeckline · 20/06/2018 20:30

Can you get a friend / neighbour round for a second real life opinion? Have a glass of wine and deal with it - safety in numbers and that. I'd be more than happy to help a neighbour or acquaintance in a similar situation. You're not being silly to be scared.

I'm not feeling snail but I don't think it's a wasp / hornet's nest either. Colouring looks very moth-y.

dementedpixie · 20/06/2018 20:30

Found it

I now agree that it's a gross snail.

DH has pointed out that you might as well tackle it now lest you wake up at 3 am to find it dangling over your bed.

He's helpful like that.

shinycat · 20/06/2018 20:31

I can't believe it took til page 12 for someone to suggest logging it with 101! Shock

We're slipping!!!!!!! Sad

dupainduvin · 20/06/2018 20:31

what a relief - I really hope for your sake it is definitely a snail!

SweetheartNeckline · 20/06/2018 20:32

Aah just seen update. Could be a snail. Seriously a neighbour won't mind coming for back up.

EngiNerd · 20/06/2018 20:32

I am so scared for you OP!

IDontLikeZombies · 20/06/2018 20:32

THERE'S A TENTACLE COMING OUT! Get holy water! My God, how can you still be in the house?

TitsalinaBumsquat · 20/06/2018 20:33

So are you going to do the glass and card trick OP? If it’s only a snail you’ll be fine... 😳

SimonBridges · 20/06/2018 20:33

Very much team snail!

Itchytights · 20/06/2018 20:33

Fuck.

That.

Shock
CorvusUmbranox · 20/06/2018 20:35

It looks even more like a snail in that second picture.

Somethingsfallendown · 20/06/2018 20:35

Is it a tentacle or the leg of a s-p-i-d-e-r????!!!

froufroufoxes · 20/06/2018 20:35

Poor old snail.
I think you should vajazzle it like that crab in Moana.

donutsarelife · 20/06/2018 20:36

It's a snail, a lovely, slightly grubby snail. Offer it some sweet potato or cucumber and it will soon be on its way. (I am a big snail fan, we have 3 African land snails and several hundred eggs currently)

HemanOrSheRa · 20/06/2018 20:37

Oooh. You need to move it because if it disappears in the night you will never know where it is! If you live near me I will come and do it. I am the Official Creepy Crawly Remover here. And I AM BRAVE Grin

hididdlyhoneighborino · 20/06/2018 20:37

My DD very kindly likes to bring snails in our house and then forget about them!!

Eliza9917 · 20/06/2018 20:37

Get it with a glass and card and put it in an empty fish tank if you have one, or a pyrex bowl and observe for a few days.

hididdlyhoneighborino · 20/06/2018 20:37

Defo going to eat your eyes tho
