Thanks for the sparkling new thread Gump! It’s a kick in the face to hear that the US are leaving the UN Human Rights Council. What timing.

hellokittymania · 20/06/2018 01:02

This is really sick, although the children who were locked up in the detention center is on Manus Island and Nauru we're treated almost as badly, and weren't given as much attention as this. No child should be treated like this, no matter what their status.

SteamTrainsRealAleandOpenFires · 20/06/2018 01:12

ATP5

I don't think she'll won't do a thing even if 70 odd million sigs were collected unless it harms "the so-called special relationship".

TheClaws · 20/06/2018 01:31

Meanwhile in North Korea: things have been relatively quiet in the wake of the summit. There have been no fiery opinion pieces in NK media; only articles about cosmetic factory openings and the like. I have no doubt this is purposeful. However, this week Kim Jong Un is off travelling again, this time back to China. This is his third visit to Premier Xi. I’d be thinking their relationship is much closer than KJU and Trump’s - and this alliance would be more profitable for KJU in the long term.

Nice. Sessions' church has just accused him of child abuse

CheerfulYank · 20/06/2018 02:15

A group of citizens in Ohio have just occupied their Senator's office and are refusing to leave until he "issues a definitive legal response" to this policy.

There are only five of them because that's how many are allowed at a time. They state they are parents and they are willing to be arrested.

SteamTrainsRealAleandOpenFires · 20/06/2018 02:35

So what'll next after US just announced they are leaving the Human Rights Council?.

  1. Mass-shootings/executions in prison yards/cells (on a flimsy excuse)?
  2. Removal of babies with "wasp ancestry" to be adopted by the party faithful & all other children without "wasp ancestry" will be disposed of.
  3. All states who voted against him (the dried up ball sack) will be governed by scrotum's offspring/arse lickers to act as "feudal lords".

From 3) onwards, I'LL leave to individuals to fill in.

Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

Per AP breaking news via MSNBC. Trump regime housing ‘hundreds’ of infants and toddlers in ‘tender age’ shelters in Texas.

I have no words.

Dragonlight · 20/06/2018 04:08

This is just disgusting and I am utterly shaken by it. How, how can this be allowed to happen?

CheerfulYank · 20/06/2018 05:07

Because it's "legal".

Roussette · 20/06/2018 05:57

ocelot I've copied your link onto Twitter, so many ways of helping in the US and I have about 600 US followers so hopefully someone somewhere can pick up on it and help.

Our hands are somewhat tied over here, however, I am going to write to my local MP (unfortunately he is a long serving useless waste of space who sent me the most appalling reply when I contacted him about the offer of a state visit to 45, so I don't hold out much hope). However, my local Labour candidate is great and him and I have communicated about the appalling human rights abuse via Twitter. I shall also be contacting TMay again.

One of my DCs is doing lots and we are marching together on 13th, there is a well organised march. Here is the link, there are at the moment 50,000 going and 139,000 interested.

DHS Secretary Nielsen just got driven out of a Mexican restaurant here on 14th Street by activists. DSA, I believe.

But it’s ok cos Melania has appeared with Queen Letizia. All normal.

Fox, the propaganda network, not troubling to cover its bias at all - although, to be fair, it stopped bothering about 2 years ago at least.

No push back, no questions, no spines, no decency, no humanity - they're all his craven cowards now:

'You know all that talk about President Trump getting an earful from House Republicans tonight? That didn't happen. He didn't take questions, two GOP members say.'

@maggieNYT
Trump family feels like it’s being shaken down. Cohen allies say Trump family is being short-sighted.

@rebeccaballhaus
Cohen complaints about Trump not paying his legal fees are all the more striking because 1) Trump campaign paid $230K of his Russia legal fees + 2) Trump family paid for doc review process after the April raid (as first reported by NYT). ' "He knows a lot of things about the President and he's not averse to talking in the right situation," one of Cohen's New York friends who is in touch with him told CNN. "If they want information on Trump, he's willing to give it."
Cohen is planning to hire Guy Petrillo, a former chief of the criminal division of the US attorney's office in Manhattan and an experienced trial lawyer, a source familiar confirmed. The source said all the paperwork and retainer may not have been finalized just yet.'

There's word out El Presidente's twitter tapper, Scavino, may be leaving WH:

'White House social media director Dan Scavino Jr. is considering leaving the White House, according to a new report.

Scavino is one of several White House aides, including White House chief of staff John Kelly and White House counsel Don McGahn, who are considering leaving their posts this year, the New York Times reports.

Scavino, who manages President Trump’s Twitter account when the president isn’t accessing it, was one of the earliest staff members to join the Trump campaign, and he is one of the few remaining members of the campaign serving in the administration.'

That's straight out of the Trump playbook. Remember him mansplaining that the 2018 Women's March was celebrating his "achievements"?

That was about Kirstjen Nielsen's spokesperson pretending the protesters were agreeing with her.
