I have a far right American family on my Dad's side, including him, who live for Fox News. For the most part, I just lessen the feed of crap they spout on FB and don't bother taking them on about any of it because they have their one news source and that one news source says every other news source is lying.

I've just gone into a full rant on my Dad's page after he's posted along the line of 'Liberal lies. What about all the photos of the kids being dragged through the 110 degree desert? Some of them aren't even their parent's. Why are liberals so worried about this when they're so pro 3rd Trimester-abortion?' etc etc. I've just fucking lost it and essentially taken on my entire paternal family (I only made contact with them when I was 30 and they are actually lovely people, just totally deluded by Fox)

RE. Trump. this plus the withdrawal from UN human rights over Israel never putting a foot wrong, is so scary. Plus his chumminess with Putin and Kim Jong. Makes me wonder if, when someone else wins the next election ,Trump might just declare them liars and override it.

The audio of the children is heartbreaking. It will take me a long, long time to forget the sobbing cries of Papa and that little girl who memorised her aunt's phone number. I can't remember where but I heard/ read something that suggested her aunt was too scared to put her family at risk and put her head about the parapet to collect the little girl. I feel so helpless.

This is so distressing. I think we should all be boycotting American goods and services until there is regime change. I'm going to ring the US embassy here in Australia to register my fury and ask all my friends to do the same.
