Speaking as someone whose DH had an affair, I would have had more respect and less animosity if he’d left me first before starting something up. We don’t know that Ant didn’t fall in love with his PA and leave his wife before starting an affair.

Shit like this happens, and whilst it’s tough for his wife we can’t make assumptions that he’s acted disrespectfuly.

They do say that women will leave relationships if they’re unhappy. But that men will only leave if they have someone else lined up. So yes, I think he’s been having an affair. But it’s all about PR isn’t it, leave it enough time and announce a “new” romance so he doesn’t look like a cheat.

I don’t believe it either. I think he has treated Lisa very badly.

I think there was something very wrong in that marriage though, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was the only one with addiction issues given some of the accounts I’ve heard about the two of them partying over the years.

But he should still have behaved better ending it in a way which wasn’t so cruel.

Oh for fuck's sake leave the man alone. He's never shared his personal life with the media. No-one knows what really went on between him and his wife. He's been in a bad place for a while. Good for him if he's found some happiness.

I don't condone drink driving incidentally, but I do recognise the illness of addiction.
