AIBU to be shocked about R Kelly?

I read an article from his ex wife about his domestic violence towards her, and then read his Wiki page. I didn't realise his history of under age girls and abuse Shock.

I used to love his music, but according to his Wiki page Spotify, Apple etc won't advertise or play his music any more as his reputation is so terrible

yeah - he's terrible. Its been going round for a few years now (this whole underage girl thing) the ex wife coming out today was first ive heard of it though - not surprising.

Christ, R Kelly was at it before Weinstein was! Grotesque perv of the first order. I think his marriage to Aaliyah was more ceremonial than legal, but it was totally gross whichever way you slice it.

Kitty it was, or would have been, a legal marriage. Aaliyah’s age was altered to make her over 18. It was annulled. The marriage certificate has been online for a while.

there needs to be affidavits,evidence etc. Currently no formal proceedings
But what’s apparent from Weinstein is this predatory behaviour is rife in entertainment industry

He is disgusting, I heard about it years ago and if I ever hear a song of his I turn if off. Same with backstreet boys, I loved them as a teen but I always switch the radio over if one of their songs come on.
