AIBU?

How the fuck am I STILL not pregnant????

Sorry, I appreciate that this isn’t an AIBU but I am at breaking point and hoping there’s more traffic here.

I have been TTC for 3 years. I was referred for NHS fertility treatment 2 years ago. Tests showed I have PCOS, as suspected. Put on Clomid, had a chemical preg after 3 months. Ovulated probably 10 times out of 12 cycles if I remember correctly. No further BFP for another year. 13 months ago I had a laparoscopy with ovarian drilling. Worked wonders, had a natural period for the first time ever (without needing drugs to bring one on). Continued on Clomid and ovulated every single month without fail. Got pg 6 months later but miscarried at 7 weeks. Was then put on Letrozole. I have ovulated on every one of the 6 cycles I’ve been on this but no fucking BFP. Due to the miscarriage, I had to wait another year for my IVF referral because you need to have not had a pregnancy in the past 12 months.

There must be something else at play, surely???? How can this be happening? Does anyone have any insight or personal experience of a similar history??

For what it’s worth, I am 30. Size 10, have eaten a mainly carb and sugar free diet for 3 years. I don’t smoke or drink much (because I am constantly “possibly pregnant”). I exercise regularly and can run 6 miles in just under 40 mins with zero effort. I take very good care of myself.

Seriously, WTAF!

This is going to sound stupid but the having sex every other day/ every day didn’t work for us, it was actually the opposite!
With DS we had sex every other day for 6 months until we half gave up the 7th month and only had sex once - I got pregnant that month.
I’m now pregnant again, 15 weeks along. This time it was fairly quick - the first month we had sex every other day and nothing till the second month where we had sex twice and that’s when I got pregnant!

As soon a second that little line appears on your ovulation stick, start shagging like bunnies and don't stop until the line goes again. 2-3 days of sex 3 times a day (morning after work and night). Afternoon a year of ttc this worked for me (twice BlushGrin )

I have PCOS, was on and off Clomid for years. It took 14 years for me to get pregnant, unmedicated and shortly after we gave up all hope of having children

@Katedotness1963 me too. I did chlomid for years, icsi, ivf and 15 years after we started ttc and 2 years after we came to terms with being childless I fell pregnant without meds, twice.

In all the years we spent going to the ivf clinic we met couples who were young, old, fat, thin, stressed, calm, rich, poor - none of those things make a difference in the end.

OP it stinks. It's a tough rd to be on but there are no answers unfortunately. I wish you very good luck 💐

Hi I’m new here,
Just about to try Clomid on my next cycle been Ttc for over a year I had a pituitary gland tumour which I’m under care of the endocrinologist and all levels seen to be returning to normal. I’ve had this for 8-9 years now and have conceived naturally 7 years ago who is now over 6. So I know I have problems conceiving naturally but recently found out I have a cyst on right ovary am awaiting seeing the gyno team so doubt I’ll be able to start Clomid now. My bmi is still 32 after losing nearly 9st in a year thought would make easier to conceive but obviously that’s not the case. I did clear blue ovulation tests and only hit peak once and had a lot of pains down there which was the cyst. Atm I have been told I need to get under 30bmi to be referred for fertility help but I’ve also been told by my bariatric team I’m not allowed to lose any more weight am currently in a no win situation which is why we brought Clomid from an online pharmacy in America sorry for the long rambling post any advice would be great please no bashing for buying online desperate times We have sex literally everyday too and oh sperm is fine so we know it’s me

@Gd1988 you really need to start your own thread as this one is over 6 months old and anyone responding will likely be responding to the op, not yourself. Good luck with everything.

I have PCOS and I found the only thing that helped my symptoms was to go on a Paleo diet (which you almost are having cut out sugar and carbs).
For the first time in my life I had regular periods every month (previously every 10ish week’s). I fell pregnant quickly both times.

Everybody is different, but if you are desperate look up Paleo. I suspect it wouldn’t be a drastic change, maybe just cut out dairy.

Good luck xx

Jesus. Ten years of trying for a baby, no baby and still the relax comment makes me want to put my head through the wall in rage.

Unfortunately PCOS is awful, raises your risk of miscarriage too. Have you been prescribed metformin at all? I was put onto that after a couple of years as they said it might help

As you're monitoring everything else, are you also checking mucus? naturalwomanhood.org/what-is-cervical-mucus/

@Shanonanon you should start your own thread instead of resurrecting an old one which may not be welcome to the original poster.

If you go to the pregnancy topic you will get good advice.
