What is your favourite feature on your body and why?

We put so much pressure on ourselves and concentrate deeply on our insecurities that we often forget about our good bits (I think so anyway).

Mine: my eyes. I'm mixed race with dark skin, but my eyes are bright green/blue. People comment on them a lot but I forget how unique they are when I look at myself...

Your turn!

My eyes, wrists and arms.

AdoraBell · 10/06/2018 22:27

Well defined waist. I’m not by any mains perfect. Pear shaped hips and saddle bags -at present- but my waist has stayed put and Pilates has reinforced it, despite me carrying a few extra kilos.

wagil · 10/06/2018 22:28

My ears are lovely, so is my belly button. Neither are on view unfortunately.

My double jointed thumbs are admired by lots of people, mostly primary aged people to be fair.

That about covers it.

GrumpyGoose · 10/06/2018 22:28

I've got some wicked eyebrows

Ikeepbuyinganimals · 10/06/2018 22:30

I love my skin on my face, it's smooth, soft and clear of spots. With a lick of nail polish, my feet are quite dainty and make me feel good when the rest of myself is wobbling around in a swimming cozzy. I used to hate my chunky legs but since they hiked my fairly hefty body up Mt Kilimanajaro this year, I have so much appreciation for them and now just won't care! I love that people here are loving bits of them x

JiltedJohnsJulie · 10/06/2018 22:33

Sorry OP but when you say “we” you’re definitely not talking for me. I don’t concentrate on my “worst feature” and likewise I’ve never really thought about my best feature. It sounds like an extraordinary waste of time and quite destructive.

affectionincoldclimate · 10/06/2018 22:34

My legs hands down GrinGot them courtesy of my mum who got them from her father. They are very shapely and I get a lot of compliments on them.

I have nice eyes too: big, blueish grey with generous eyelashes. Good brows too - naturally thick and strong. Which is baffling as I have very thin babyish hair which was the bane of my life until I met my hairdresser who turned it into my distinguishing feature.

Writing this made me feel self conscious. Funny that. It's so much easier to criticise oneself. I had to resist the urge to write about what I dislike just to balance it out - you know, not to sound big-headed. Wink

As an aside as I've hit forty I started really appreciate myself so much more. Fewer fucks given, more satisfaction, I suppose. Shame it took me forty years but better late than never.

LoniceraJaponica · 10/06/2018 22:34

My height. I'm 5'7" which is taller than average, but not too tall. I can reach things on supermarket shelves and don't have to take trousers up.

My legs are OK as well.

Meatbadger · 10/06/2018 22:35

I’ve got quite nice ears

I do get complimented on my skin sometimes but I don’t know why as it’s average

LeighaJ · 10/06/2018 22:36

My eyes. They are an extremely dark chocolate brown and I'm otherwise very pale with darker red hair. I love that every eye makeup colour (but pink) looks good on me because of my eye colour.

DiabolicalMess · 10/06/2018 22:37

My nose and ears are fairly tidy I guess... literally the only thing I can think of. The rest of me needs a damn good sort out from top to bottom!!

Whatislife123 · 10/06/2018 22:40

My brown eyes, black silky healthy hair ,tanned skin and full lips

RedDwarves · 10/06/2018 22:44

Like my eyes. They're almond shaped, green despite my parents both having blue eyes, and I have long lashes.

Also like my complexion. I am very fair, but I have a very even complexion, no redness, no dry patches, no scarring etc. I have been complimented on it a lot, because it is very unusual not to have some discolouration or unevenness.

mostdays · 10/06/2018 22:45

Honest to goodness I can't think of any part of my body I like enough to call it my best feature. I don't hate the whole package, but none of it is stand out brilliant.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 10/06/2018 22:47

It's in my username! 😂

happymummy12345 · 10/06/2018 22:48

I like my bright blue eyes. That's it. Oh and I like the length of my hair but not now it is (naturally curly and it goes dry and frizzy).
Can't really say my acrylics or my eyebrows because even though my nail and eyebrow absolute angel lady does a perfect job every time, they're not naturally like that, so doesn't count.

Serendipite · 10/06/2018 22:49

Long Legs
Full pouty lips
When I was younger I hated my round moon face, now that I'm older I love it!
My shoulder is nice when I'm under a certain weight. Beyond that, no.

madeyemoodysmum · 10/06/2018 22:51

Happy with everything except boobs too big and tummy c sect gang and weight never seems to shift there even tho I'm slim in other places. Confused

PlatypusPie · 10/06/2018 22:52

Good skin - genetics rather than care, though am naturally sun averse

argumentativefeminist · 10/06/2018 22:56

Genuinely love my big tummy, thick thighs and my stretch marks - I like watching them grow like worms having a race! I think fat feminism is becoming so much more mainstream and hopefully women of my millennial generation will have less pressure about their appearance than at other periods in time.

MistressDeeCee · 10/06/2018 22:56

My face. It's attractive. I'm 55 and no wrinkles yet either. I felt like shit throughout my teens, no confidence so it was nice to grow into my face. I dislike that my eyes are small. They are bright tho, and I have browny-blue eyes inherited from my dad. We are both Caribbean and dark skinned.

I have nice legs.

I wish I loved every part of my body. But, I don't. It's nice to realise I'm at least ok with some parts, this thread has made me think about that

dontcomenearmewiththat · 10/06/2018 23:01

i got great cheekbones, good teef, fick hair and everything else is pretty decent actually.

Downside is I stink cos I don't wash enough Wink

BonnieF · 10/06/2018 23:05

My height, I’m 5’11.

I also have bright blue eyes and good, thick, wavy hair.

The list of not-so good points is much longer....

ThistleAmore · 10/06/2018 23:06

I have magnificent legs. I'm 5'9" and have a 34" inside leg, so they're significant! I play a lot of sport and train hard, so they're very shapely and toned. I also have what Daily Fail columnists would term 'well-turned ankles', and look pretty spiffy in heels.

I also have lovely green almond-shaped eyes with long dark lashes, which contrast well against my very pale skin tone.

WaitrosePigeon · 10/06/2018 23:07

Good ankles and a nice face. My hair is pretty good too.

Nice idea for a thread OP Smile
