What is your favourite feature on your body and why?

We put so much pressure on ourselves and concentrate deeply on our insecurities that we often forget about our good bits (I think so anyway).

Mine: my eyes. I'm mixed race with dark skin, but my eyes are bright green/blue. People comment on them a lot but I forget how unique they are when I look at myself...

Your turn!

My skin I think. I’m aging ok.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 10/06/2018 21:05

I’d notice your eyes op I’m almost obsessed with peoples eyes lol since gaining the confidence to actually look at people while talking to them, I’ve noticed their eyes more. I love bright eyes on mixed race people. There was this woman I knew who was mixed and she had freckles and almost finer hair with green eyes. Really stand out and stunning.

On myself, I’m not sure. Years ago I would have said my les, because even though they were pale and I was a bigger, they were long and shaped quite well. Used to get complimented on them and not randomly by weirdos on the street lol. Now, they aren’t so great and I’ve gotten bigger so I don’t like them so much anymore. Can’t think of anything I do like really.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 10/06/2018 21:07

Ginger* not finer.

QueenOfMyWorld · 10/06/2018 21:07

Eyes,arms and legs

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 10/06/2018 21:09

My hair.

I used to have bum length jet black hair. Now I have amazing unicorn hair. Everyone remembers me

My smooth skin - at an age when I really really should not have this at all!

My grandmother had not a wrinkle on her when she died at 92. Thank you Grandma!!!

SilverySurfer · 10/06/2018 21:09

My brain - the rest of me is falling apart.

Longdistance · 10/06/2018 21:11

My cheek bones. Even though I’m a size 18, my cheek bones are amazing. I catch myself in the mirror, and I’m like ‘wow’, they really are superb. I’m quite lucky that my nose is pretty good too.

Other than that, huge boobs, long legs (that I struggle to get trousers for) 🤷🏼‍♀️

JuicySwan · 10/06/2018 21:12

Omg your hair was gorgeous dark Bathsheba!

itsbetterthanabox · 10/06/2018 21:12

This was meant to be positive but it comes across as more depressing.

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 10/06/2018 21:16

Since I hit my 40's/had DC, I'm probably considered far less 'attractive' than I was in my 20's and 30's, but I feel lots more confident. I'm half a stone heavier, my tummy is softer, I'm starting to get a few lines around my eyes and my muscle tone needs more work, but I appreciate my body far more than I used to.

In my 30's, I could have given a list of things I hated about my looks, but now, knowing that I'm less 'attractive' than I used to be, I"m struggling to think of one Grin

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 10/06/2018 21:17

my good shaped legs and their long length from hip to knee...:)

loobywench · 10/06/2018 21:17

I love my legs. Long and still shapely at 50 lol. I often get complimented on my skin and green eyes. Lots of things I don't like though !

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 10/06/2018 21:18

...which wasn't the question at all. Sorry OP, I wandered a bit there Grin.

I meant to go on to say I kind of like everything, I suppose, for those reasons. My forearms are aweseome though...Grin

SoleBizzz · 10/06/2018 21:20

My beautiful back

EnglishRose13 · 10/06/2018 21:22

I have naturally long eyelashes. That's about it.

tillytoodles1 · 10/06/2018 21:22

I have massive boobs and a little tiny bum, but I have no waist. Typical apple shape.

Lovemusic33 · 10/06/2018 21:22

My legs, I always get comments about them, they are not long but are slim.

kitkatsky · 10/06/2018 21:22

Nothing. Just wish I liked something. When my DD tells me I'm the prettiest mummy I just roll my eyes away from her and day thank you, but I genuinely don't like anything

onefootinthegrave · 10/06/2018 21:23

My feet. All my toes go down in length from the big toe to the little one. They are wide, but very smooth and even.

I've often thought it's a shame no one sees my best feature apart from a few months a year in the summer when they are in sandals!

lljkk · 10/06/2018 21:25

My ankles are amazing. I'm a rough & tumble person always scrambling. So many times I've fallen or stumbled & someone else would have broken or sprained... nope, mine hold up like troopers. Love my ankles.

Don't know or give a monkeys if anyone else likes my ankles. They're still my best bit.

everyone remembers me b/c of my accent. Which is annoying. --Wannabe Wallflower

SideOrderofSprouts · 10/06/2018 21:27

Probably my eyes as they are apparently very unusual

Nononononono33 · 10/06/2018 21:28

Ooh I like this thread, it has made me think. I have good shoulders, and can pull off scoop neck tops and the like - not sleeveless though. Also, if I lose any weight (not often), it always shows on my face and neck first so I can wear my hair up and show off a bit. I just ignore anything from the tummy down.

fannyfelcher · 10/06/2018 21:28

I have worked hard at this. I love pretty much the whole package. It's my home, where I live. My belly is a road map that notes the journey of my 4 pregnancies. My bum, my husband loves and now so do I. My tattoos are like wallpaper , claiming my body as its own and making it feel comfy and friendly. I love my ginger hair and am growing out into my natural colour ( first time in 25 years) after having it shorn off . I love my laughter lines and new tiny wrinkles too.

maybe i'm turning a bit hippy Grin

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/06/2018 21:29

I’ve got pretty feet which I enjoy looking after and a vibe hourglass shape which I’ve learnt to dress for. Love me a dress these days!
