What is your favourite feature on your body and why?

We put so much pressure on ourselves and concentrate deeply on our insecurities that we often forget about our good bits (I think so anyway).

Mine: my eyes. I'm mixed race with dark skin, but my eyes are bright green/blue. People comment on them a lot but I forget how unique they are when I look at myself...

Your turn!

My birthmark, it’s on my leg and looks like a giant freckle, it’s about the size of my hand.

No one else has got one exactly the same so it always makes me feel a bit special.

Member745520 · 10/06/2018 22:08

Anything above my neck is o.k. by me. The rest I'm still working on after nearly 80yrs.

O yes, and the interior life seems to be doing all right too... most days... Grin

WilburIsSomePig · 10/06/2018 22:08

Nothing really. That's not a 'poor me' statement, but there's nothing I particularly like really. I used to be really pretty, but stress and grief have put paid to that. I'm OK now, but it's all gone.

GrumpyOldMare · 10/06/2018 22:09

My eyes. So I can close them and not see my body...it's not a nice sight.

missmouse101 · 10/06/2018 22:12

Dainty feet. The rest is shocking.

PussGirl · 10/06/2018 22:13

I'm happy with my slim figure generally, but particularly like my curvy bum & small perky boobs with big nipples. Nice green eyes, too.

Magpie24 · 10/06/2018 22:13

My small waist (which is rapidly decreasing as am 19 weeks pregnant!)

Wafflenose · 10/06/2018 22:14

There are plenty of things I hate, but I have thick auburn hair between bra strap and waist length, and am told I have good skin.

CookPassBabtridge · 10/06/2018 22:15

My big lips

RainbowGlitterFairy · 10/06/2018 22:15

my eyes, one is aqua and the other one turquoise, and they seem to change depending on what I'm wearing/lighting/make up. Close second is my hair, its very thick and long enough to sit on. I also really like my skin, i'm very pale, almost porcelain colour, and I have a nice nose.

RantyMare · 10/06/2018 22:16

I see people on this thread answering the question and then saying 'But I hate X!' as if we're just programmed to feel bad about complimenting ourselves so we have to add a negative. :(

A professional, younger woman who obviously felt sorry for me (I assume due to my being in a 'looked down upon' profession) told me I was stunning recently in a 'Aww I'm sorry you're having to do this' sort of way. I replied 'Yeh I know' and she looked as though I'd walked into her house and pissed on her carpet. We need to accept compliments and who we are.

I generally don't mind the way I look at all. I'm slimmish, I have a fairly pleasant face, muscular arms and legs.

This may sound odd but I really like my midriff. As a young teen I'd lock myself in the bathroom with knives and contemplate cutting it off. It's relatively flat when I am standing up, I have muscle tone, and I am proud of myself for getting to where I am now.I appreciate my body now.

MargotLovedTom1 · 10/06/2018 22:18

Eyes and teeth!

littlemisscomper · 10/06/2018 22:18

My eyelashes. They're seriously long and dark. I still got bullied into buying mascara at the makeup counter, and wore it for an important interview. Every time I blinked I got streaks of it on my glasses lenses, I had to keep taking them off and wiping them!

MumofBoysx2 · 10/06/2018 22:19

My boobs! ( . )( . ) They got bigger when I got pregnant, stayed bigger and didn't sag afterwards, so I was really lucky!

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/06/2018 22:19

So agree ranty. I complimented a colleague on her pretty jacket last week and said how she always has such nice clothes. We chat often so it wasn’t an odd thing to say. She looked horrified and said “I only shop in the sales” and scurried off.

PickAChew · 10/06/2018 22:21

I have tidy, if lopsided ears.

MrsHappyAndMrCool · 10/06/2018 22:22

It has to be my breasts, I went through years being small chested and feeing very insecure about them. I had surgery last year and now they are perfect.

Loonoon · 10/06/2018 22:23

I like my eyes and my legs.

tigercub50 · 10/06/2018 22:23

Good thread! Over a few years, I have lost nearly 4 stone so I like my body shape much more ( although I always liked my boobs). My legs are quite shapely & I have rather sensual lips. DH loves my bum!

Bodicea · 10/06/2018 22:24

Bum and legs. Muscular, toned and shapely ( not through being particular athletic just genetic) decent thigh gap and no cellulite in my late thirties. Dh loves them.

Greenteandchives · 10/06/2018 22:25

My feet are lovely. Not boney or veined or bunioned. Just nice. It’s a pity they don’t get out on show much.
Not much else really. Oh, I don’t mind my pert 34Bs. Again, these aren’t on show much.

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 10/06/2018 22:25

My waist. It's quite small so makes me look smaller than I am.

My nose. I've had plastic surgeons comment that people pay to get a nose like mine.

My lips. Very full and Cupid now-like.

That's cheered me up - feeling old and chubby and tired after dc2 was born a few months ago!

LauderSyme · 10/06/2018 22:25

Flowers for those of you who chose nothing. Today, I feel able to choose something so it's a good day. My thick, curly hair and shapely legs.

DeputyBrennan · 10/06/2018 22:26

Strong shoulders and well-defined collarbone, combined with very small waist. I'd rather not have the hips to match the shoulders, though!
