To Ask Remainers Their Opinion on Italy?

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 11:33

Post 1 - I don't want this to be too long in one go so Remainers get bored and don't read it.

Italy now stands at both a crossroads and a precipice and the choices made in the next few months will decide whether the next phase of closer EU Integration happens OR there is an end to the European Project. Either way, the EU's coup d'etat in the Italian elections has been a watershed moment.

Because of the increasing problems brought on by economic stagnation and the failure of the Euro to social problems created by the the arrival of hundreds of thousands of migrants over recent years the Italian population has not only become skeptical of the European Union but of politics in general and has voted to take the country in a rightward direction.

Having formed a coalition and garnering over 50% of the vote The League and the 5 Star parties have been blocked from forming a Government after the Italian president vetoed the appointment of a Eurosceptic finance minister.

Sergio Materalla, who was installed as president by a previous pro EU Italian government AND who as head of state is supposed to be politically neutral said in a televised message that "the economy ministry always constitutes an immediate message of trust or alarm for financial markets and as such he could not accept a minister who may provoke Italy's exit from the Euro.

He then, without any apparent introspection, appointed as head of government a European technocrat who not only used to be a director of the IMF but is also well know for his pro EU views.

In the situation that you are describing where we would run out of medicines, there would be no air travel at all - as described in the government's own reports. Please - keep up!

You already admitted that you don't speak English, and you're acting like a Russian bot.

If you walk like a duck, quack like a duck...

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 14:52

You already admitted that you don't speak English, and you're acting like a Russian bot

Jesus H Christ.

I meant I'm not good with words, not that I'm a fecking Russian, I linve in South Wales for fucks sake.

OP posts:
CardinalSin · 05/06/2018 14:53

I believe you...

astoundedgoat · 05/06/2018 14:54

I vote for a government that has the expertise to make the best economic choices for the country in which I live. I exercise my democratic right at the ballot, but at that point I hand over to the government and trust those elected officials to make sensible economic choices for me. The current UK government is patently NOT doing that. The Italian president DID. He was democratically elected to do exactly what he did - exercise his veto when he thinks it right to do so. If the QUEEN did it here, you could argue that it was undemocratic, because she is NOT elected - she is imposed on us.

Also - can't help the nagging suspicion that A4710Rider is my Dad.

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 14:54

You're fucking batshit love.

OP posts:
A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 14:55

I'm actually being accused of being a Russia Bot.

My sides are aching.

OP posts:
CardinalSin · 05/06/2018 14:55

Ah, lost the argument so down to the insults. Typical BrexitBot behaviour.

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 14:56

lost the argument so down to the insults

I'm only insulting you because you're convinced I'm a russian bot, nothing to do with the argument.

In fact I'm not insulting you, I'm mocking you.

Let me guess, you actually think Brexit means NO ONE can fly into or out of the UK? ....because Ryanair said so?

Deep sigh no. Brexit means there might be no planes in and out of Britain in the event of a 'no deal'. This is because we will crash out of the free skies agreement. And not just with Europe. We are currently signed up with everyone else as part of the EU. A crash out means we lose it all and planes cannot enter or leave British airspace. It is a natural consequence of no deal.

If there is a deal, we won;t run out of medication - so your little imaginary phone call to Canada will not have to take place.

I assure you it is not the other posters that are being 'morons' Hmm

or to whichever Russian bar you go to after work)

What the actual fuck?

I believe she is implying you are a Russian schill. Which would be considerably less embarrassing for you than being the type of 'moron' who genuinely believes the shit you are spouting.

CardinalSin · 05/06/2018 14:58

Don't want to be thought of as a shill? Maybe don't post like one.

Maybe learn the facts of what you're posting about.

Maybe respond to people showing you links to the aforementioned facts.

Maybe post links to back your supposed "opinions" up.

Otherwise, well...

CardinalSin · 05/06/2018 15:00

It's actually quite frightening that someone can be so very clueless and yet call other people "morons".

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 15:00

don't want to be thought of as a shill? Maybe don't post like one

A Russian bot, a shill? You people are hilarious. Utterly hilarious.

As with the majority of the brexit supporters on this site, A4710Rider is only capable of seeing things in black and white, believing that there are always only two binary choices to every situation:

Economy or Democracy
UK Sovereignty or EU Dictatorship
World War III or No change at all

Notice how she also only picks out on the more strident posts to counter-argue against rather than the various well-argued posts about how democracy and economies actually works.

Also notice how she asks for links to everything (despite providing none herself) then ignores responses when people actually post links but responds to the one post where they say they cannot find it (except then it is found shortly after, which she again ignores).

Don't call her a troll though.

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 15:02

This is because we will crash out of the free skies agreement

The UK is already negotiating with US and everyone else for post Open Skies. Only the EU, in their infinite wisdom would even contemplate not having an agreement.

You're being willfully obtuse.

OP posts:
CardinalSin · 05/06/2018 15:04

Again, ignore the context...

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 15:07

Also notice how she asks for links to everything

I asked for links on two assertations made by posters.

despite providing none herself

I will provide a link for any statement I make. I said the President was probably in control of Brussels/Berlin. I can't provide a link for that as it's just opinion.

OP posts:
CardinalSin · 05/06/2018 15:07

Do you think that A4 is using this?

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 15:09

Don't call her a troll though

Call me a troll if you must, I appreciate it must be difficult for you to realise that other people in the EU aren't happy with their government or the EU and that would be sufficient for you to say I'm a troll but don't call me a Russian bot.

“I live in South Wales for fucks sake.”

You live in South Wales and you voted for Brexit?

Wow. Well done you.

slow hand clap

CardinalSin · 05/06/2018 15:12

I don't deny that there are many people in other countries who aren't happy with either their government and/or the EU, but that isn't the point of this thread!

"I will provide a link for any statement I make. I said the President was probably in control of Brussels/Berlin. I can't provide a link for that as it's just opinion."

Well, you've proved that your opinions are pretty worthless. Why not back it up with just an iota of actual data?

BlueBiros · 05/06/2018 15:13

Not caught up with the rest of the thread, but MissSusan I think I love you for this statement alone: Where is Lord Vetrinari when you need him?

CardinalSin · 05/06/2018 15:14

Anyway, isn't the a fellow Quitling who always gets incredibly offended if a Remainer someone dares to use the word "moron"? I'm sure she'll be along any minute now to castigate the OP.

Icantreachthepretzels · 05/06/2018 15:15

The UK is already negotiating with US and everyone else for post Open Skies

Do you have a link for this please? And if we're 'negotiating' what exactly is it that we are promising to give up in return for them taking pity on us?

How many countries are there in the world? That's a lot of negotiations. On top of everything else we have to do. And only 9 months to do it. And we've done the square root of fuck all in the two years since the referendum.

How are these negotiations going rider?

A4710Rider · 05/06/2018 15:16

You live in South Wales and you voted for Brexit

Yes, the influx of cheap labour meant our wages remained stagnant and finding a cheap place to live was almost impossible. Our post coal communities were torn apart.
