Year 6, best friend, but boys and girls invited they are only 11 and all sleeping in a tent overnight.

Moleskinediary · 31/05/2018 19:14

What do you think might happen?

Racecardriver · 31/05/2018 19:14

What do you imagine is going to happen?

GreenJanine · 31/05/2018 19:16

Hanky Panky I guess

OP posts:
Minniemooseishere · 31/05/2018 19:16

I went to one at that age, was a huge scout tent. Was a bloody brilliant night.

Spotsandstars · 31/05/2018 19:17

Yanbu. I wouldn't either. No way.

GreenJanine · 31/05/2018 19:17

Haha Mimimoos

OP posts:
Ohmydayslove · 31/05/2018 19:17

Well probably one of them will smuggle in alcohol from home and there might be some snogging. Probably not more than that or even thst.

For me it would depend on your dds personality, the other kids going and the parents of the sleepover.

I have had 6 now grown up so seen it all. Smile

CrispbuttyNo1 · 31/05/2018 19:18

I really really doubt a group of 11 year olds are going to have an orgy!!

Rainydaydog · 31/05/2018 19:18

Personally I would allow it in a large mixed group if they are all reasonably sensible children.

Metoodear · 31/05/2018 19:18

Unless all social media eg phones are banned I would also be saying no to this

LucilleBluth · 31/05/2018 19:19

11 year old boys are not the devil you know.

CrispbuttyNo1 · 31/05/2018 19:19

meant to add, if they were 14 and upwards then it would be a different story I expect, but at 11 they are still pretty innocent kids usually..

I would expect it to be in a parents garden though with an adult nearby just in case of any emergencies.

Mirrorwriting · 31/05/2018 19:20

YANBU.

The youngest mother in Britain was pregnant at 11.

FunkyHeroCat · 31/05/2018 19:20

Sorry, but at 11! My 11 year old DS barely talks to girls and makes retching sounds when someone kisses in a film. He really wouldn't have a clue when it comes to 'hanky panky'!

Ohmydayslove · 31/05/2018 19:20

I never get the comments what do you think will happen bizarre.

Clearly the ‘what wills’are huge from them all eating pizza and pop to a bit of cider and a snog to alcoholic poisoning and sex.

All of those can happen at 11 you know

purplewurple · 31/05/2018 19:22

No don't allow it

Meralia · 31/05/2018 19:22

No sorry, I would not be happy about this at all. Judging from the previous posts, think I’m in the minority though!

AnnieAnoniMouser · 31/05/2018 19:22

I would let her go. Large mixed group in one tent, they’ll eat a load of sweets, tell ghost stories and get no sleep. Brilliant fun.

Unless your Mum is a fun sponge.

Candyflip · 31/05/2018 19:23

The one who was raped by her 16 year old brother mirrorwriting?

Glumglowworm · 31/05/2018 19:23

A large mixed group of primary school children wouldn’t overly bother me. They’re not going to have an orgy!

Issues with phones etc are just as likely at a single sex sleepover

BigSandyBalls2015 · 31/05/2018 19:23

I don't think I'd worry at 11! A couple of years later then yes!

Although young kids are being exposed to more and more porn so perhaps you should be concerned.

Moleskinediary · 31/05/2018 19:25

I never get the comments what do you think will happen bizarre.

Why? the OP did not say what her concerns were. It s not possible to say if she IBU unless you know what she think will happen.

ltk · 31/05/2018 19:25

It's her best friend, so you must know the parents and children. Likely to be a wholly unsupervised, drunken orgy? Or will it actually be fine?

Sevendown · 31/05/2018 19:28

My gut says no and I’m a very liberal parent.

Cloudsarebright · 31/05/2018 19:28
