AIBU to return the massive stash of porn I just found in the house I just bought?

Just moved into a house, it has been a feat of endurance not made easier by the extremely uncooperative seller. The family wanted to exchange early, set a date to move that was extremely inconvenient. We made arrangements to move on that day, called in favours and spent money to move on that day and then they changed it to a day four days later that was even more inconvenient. They knew we were desperate to move and took advantage.

So we moved in today and when we were going round the house we found a huge stash of frankly filthy porn in the fitted wardrobe of the bedroom that was occupied by the 12 year old son.

I have just had a text off the estate agent saying that the seller has left a le creuset pot in the oven and could we leave it with a neighbour for them to collect. AIBU to put the le creuset pot in a box surrounded by the porn videos and leave it at the neighbors?

Please decoupage the Le Creusset as suggested by honesty

That would be the funniest thing that ever happened

Everything else is a bit petty imo. Decoupage or bin.

GorgonLondon · 29/05/2018 22:40

The 12 year old was short for his age and couldn’t have reached the top shelf where the vids were stashed. Hubby was a shift worker and on permanent nights

How do you know all of this??

ShirleyPhallus · 29/05/2018 22:40

But.... what’s the point? Just stirring up drama for no good reason. It isn’t hurting or affecting you but you’ll return it with the hope that it embarrasses him or causes an argument for his wife. Just why?

ToadOfSadness · 29/05/2018 22:41

Photograph it all including the pot, forward copies to solicitors and estate agents to confirm that it is what you are returning and tape a photo to the side of the box you return it in. When they collect it they will probably close the top of the box without realising there is a picture of the contents on the outside. You could put one on each side for good measure so that anyone passing by will see it.

WorraLiberty · 29/05/2018 22:45

They're just videos

Throw them away and get on with your life.

GinandGingerBeer · 29/05/2018 22:48

Cut out all the naughty bits and fill the le creusset with le cock et la muff.

(Auto corrected to ‘le crudest’ 😂)

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 29/05/2018 22:54

This is the funniest thing I came across -in ages— today. Sonce they were teicky buggers I would return the porn.

Mycatiskillingme · 29/05/2018 23:03

I can’t understand why anyone thinks porn is embarrassing it seems so prudish to think that. I would return it but certainly would not be embarrassed if anyone returned it to me.

travellinglighter · 29/05/2018 23:14

To all those asking why the drama. The sellers have been downright awful to us, messed us around somethings chroniic, cost us at least an extra £200 and lost me 2 precious holiday days. Might have shown some mercy if they’d cleaned the house but it’s manky.

Gorgon. The twelve year old was very proud of his bedroom when he showed my DP around.

YESSS! List them by name!!!’..... and description! Please!!

KeepServingTheDrinks · 29/05/2018 23:18

See, I'm different to everyone else.

My first thought was:
Le Creuset? Bugger returning it, they're bloody expensive. If it wasn't on the list of stuff they're taking and they left it, it's yours!

Keep the pot, return the porn!

WorraLiberty · 29/05/2018 23:24

I still think it's a waste of energy when you've got much more to be getting on with, like moving into your new home.

You're assuming he's going to be all embarrassed and giggly about porn, but it's not the 1970s.

I'm pretty sure he won't care what you do with it.

Birdshitbridgegotme · 29/05/2018 23:37

I would add some duct tape and rope or washing up gloves in with the porn stash to make it look even worse to the neighbour Grin

Ivorbig1 · 29/05/2018 23:43

Why ? Why do you care? just laugh or clutch your pearls and enjoy your new home.

nursy1 · 29/05/2018 23:47

Yesssss

nursy1 · 29/05/2018 23:48

Not yesss ya up but just, yesss. Do it

Dancingtothebeat · 29/05/2018 23:50

Ah. Sexually humiliate the DS and DH and embarrass the blameless wife just so you can indulge in some self righteous smuggery.

Nice.

Just bin them.

AdoraBell · 29/05/2018 23:51

Yes, definitely return the porn and advise via solicitor.

I love that you’ve told the estate agent. Normally I would say just ignore it and get on with enjoying your new home, but they messed you about.

LovelyStrides · 29/05/2018 23:51

What if it does cause trouble for him? He knows where you live!

RebelRogue · 29/05/2018 23:51

Do it!! Don't fuss with solicitors though, just pop them in the box.

bumbleboots · 29/05/2018 23:59

Return the porn, If he cared so much about the shame it would inflict on his family then he could have binned it long ago.

Wdigin2this · 30/05/2018 00:01

Yes do it, and put a note in saying, thought you'd want this back too!

Boredandtired · 30/05/2018 00:02

When we moved once we didn't like the people buying the house so my brothers stole some of my dad's porn and placed it in the wardrobes... they were 12/13 years old. My dad was crap at hiding it. Are you sure it's not been planted on purpose?

PotteryLady · 30/05/2018 00:04

Please do it - the people we brought off who were a nightmare left loads of rubbish and furniture and estate agents and solicitor refused to contact them to collect so I dropped all their crap on the estate agents door step - they threatened me with the police - told them it's not mine it's your clients - go ahead tell them. I quickly jumped in the car and drove off. 6 months latter when we had some work done the workmen found porn videos hidden in a wall and were embarrassed because they thought they were ours. Quickly pointed out they were the previous owners. Would have loved to drop them at the estate agentsGrin
