Just had it in SE London. Love it. There's something about a storm which makes me feel incredibly cosy. This one went on for ages as well...

Two flashes, but I can also hear rave music.

People in opposite flats have come outside to get a better view of the light show.

It has been quite apocalyptic over my bit of S London: right overhead, non stop thunder and lit up skies for an hour. Rain has been torrential, calming to normal heavy rain now.

Yep same here and I really need to sleep while the baby is asleep but can't stop looking!

It's got a bit rainier and more thundery now. Hope it doesn't wake DS up.

It's tailing off here now in w. London. But we had a good 30/45 mins of non stop thunder and light in with some rather heavy rain. Never seen it like that here before ll

Quietening down a bit now in SW London - still a rumble, and it is raining but not like the power wash it was 10 minutes ago. Road flooded up to kerb - drains are not coping. Phew, that’s wasquute exhausting !

It's still going on here in Fast Sussex. It's amazing.

We are down on the South Coast (literally, back garden is the beach) and it’s crazy. Never seen anything like it here in the UK!

In north Surrey here- it's gone on for ages! Never before have I seen such prolonged successive flashes of lightning! Incredible! Lying in bed with the curtains open. It seems to have quietened a bit now but wow!

Oh I know, aren't those fox cubs gorgeous - still fluffy but already have that slinky foxy way about them. They were even cuter a month ago, even when one stole a pair of dd's knickers from the washing line Glad to share the love!

There has been about an hour and a half of solid lightning and rolling thunder (and crazy rain). Never seen a storm like it! It's lovely :-)

I was definitely absolutely almost blinded by the lighting bolt that looked like it struck our neighbors house! Then all power went and I was blasted into the pitch black with the biggest noise I have ever heard. It scared me shirtless and I love a good storm!

Ooof the rain is back with a vengeance! Thunder a lightning still going but more sperodic now

Also loving the fox cubs. We have had cubs and they are amazing to watch.
