boomboom12 · 26/05/2018 23:22

It reminds me of Jurassic Park!

IrenetheQuaint · 26/05/2018 23:22

No rain at all yet in NE London but sounds like it may be coming...

PlatypusPie · 26/05/2018 23:22

Cripes, right in the middle of it here in SW London ! Crash, flash and bucketing it down.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 26/05/2018 23:22

Central London - DS complaining about the flashing! I think it's great.

ButNotTonight · 26/05/2018 23:25

Just driven home in it. No thunder or rain just like a concert with strobe lighting going in. Shitting myself, hate storms baby

IrenetheQuaint · 26/05/2018 23:28

If I was an Irish No voter I'd think it was God expressing his displeasure Grin

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 26/05/2018 23:28

Blaim the Martians

To be honest I checked the BBC to make sure there wasn't anything explosive happening. Never thought of the Martians though!

CantankerousCamel · 26/05/2018 23:29

Watching it light up the canvas in our bell tent in wales

LannieDuck · 26/05/2018 23:30

That was weird. I clicked on this thread 10 mins ago and had no idea what anyone was talking about - no lightning here.

...And now we've got a lightning storm!

PastBananas · 26/05/2018 23:30

Nothing in Bedfordshire, although it is clouding over a bit now.

Saw the International Space Station whizz past earlier though.

bialystockandbloom · 26/05/2018 23:31

lighthouse yes four of them! They're about three months old now. I know lots of people hate foxes but I love them. So fabulous to have them in such a central urban place.

All seems to have come to a stop now in NW Kent.

frasier · 26/05/2018 23:32

Huge bang just made me jump! Should I be turning things off?

Valsie1 · 26/05/2018 23:36

Just been watching amazing sheet lightening in Grays, Essex. No rain yet though.

Dibbosteme · 26/05/2018 23:39

Nothing in North Yorkshire yet.

SewButtons · 26/05/2018 23:40

South east London here and it’s great. We’ve been sitting out in the garden. Loads of very visible lightening but no rain for ages.

Rain has started now but very weirdly at one point we could hear rain falling on the flower beds and around us but couldn’t feel anything at all, like we were just outside of where it was raining.

Best thunderstorm I’ve seen in years.

Valsie1 · 26/05/2018 23:41

bialystockandbloom love the photos of the fox cubs. I love foxes and feed them every night but haven’t been lucky enough to see any cubs yet.

blueshoes · 26/05/2018 23:44

South east London. Children ran downstairs to tell me and then fell asleep with the blinds up watching the dazzling light show.

enterthedragon · 26/05/2018 23:44

Its been amazing here, constant lightning and the occasional rumble of thunder in the distance, been going on for well over an hour. At first I thought that something was going on in the allotments nearby.

Didn't occur to me that it might be the Martian invasion Grin

minicheddars90 · 26/05/2018 23:45

Continuous sheet lightning here in SE Kent but no bangs and crashes! Hope we get some thunder before it dies down

MothershipG · 26/05/2018 23:46

Loads of lightening, thunder and rain here in west London which is completely freaking out one of my dogs. 😟 Who is consequently pacing and walking over my head - not conducive to sleep!

Floralnomad · 26/05/2018 23:46

No thunder or rain at the moment in our part of Kent , just constant lightning .
