Really big in central London now.

MumofBoysx2 · 26/05/2018 23:09

Fantastic, we turned the lights off and my 8 year old got out of bed to watch out of his window (the 10 year old could sleep through a herd of wildebeest in his room, haha!)

viques · 26/05/2018 23:09

Thanks for the Lightning map, wow so glad I am not on a boat in the Channel!

amazing lightning, rumbling yet not a drop of rain, nature is awesome. If we could harness lightning that would solve the world's energy problems for ever....... If only.

TattyFrench · 26/05/2018 23:09

And here comes the rain! Chucking it down down now! Still and thunder and lightening!

GothMummy · 26/05/2018 23:09

Oh nothing in East Mids! I love to watch lightening too.

LanaorAna2 · 26/05/2018 23:09

Beautiful here over an inner London park.

Cat has stumped off to bed with nerves. Off to join.

boomboom12 · 26/05/2018 23:11

Bloody interrupted my sky signal

bluerunningshoes · 26/05/2018 23:12

thunder is more distant now, but lightening still frequent and very bright.
it's getting a lot colder suddenly

I'm in SW London and got a full strobe effect going on at each end of the bedroom but annoying can't see the lightning itself- just the whole sky lighting up. Got a Velux window and the rain is deafeningly loud! Seems to be slowing now...

Oldraver · 26/05/2018 23:14

I thought there was something wrong with my laptop as it kept clicking..

Then I realised it was the lightening map in the background

bialystockandbloom · 26/05/2018 23:14

Crazy for the last ten minutes here in south London, love it! It scared our baby fox cubs off into hiding!

eileandonan · 26/05/2018 23:15

Bloody amazing over here in SE London.

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 26/05/2018 23:15

It sounds like artillery in East London, just constant rumbling and distant crashing. I hope it buggers off, because I really want a good nights sleep.

letsdolunch321 · 26/05/2018 23:16

Heard something outside .... was it a plane or thunder !!!

TheMaddHugger · 26/05/2018 23:16

When I read the title of this my mind went straight to Day of The Triffids'

zen1 · 26/05/2018 23:17

Also in south London. Just looked outside and it looks almost like a tropical storm. The rain is blowing up the hill and water is absolutely pouring into the drains.

bialystockandbloom · 26/05/2018 23:18

maddhugger keep a blindfold on, right? Grin (I love that book)

TheClitterati · 26/05/2018 23:19

The sky is like a disco here in Kent. But not much thunder. Just had some rain.

LighthouseSouth · 26/05/2018 23:19

Bialy you have baby fox Cubs? Brilliant!

Still lightning only.

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 26/05/2018 23:19

I’m in the SE and was just watching it with my DS, he’s fascinated by it 😊

TheClitterati · 26/05/2018 23:19

Ooh here comes the thunder now.

bialystockandbloom · 26/05/2018 23:19

Oh god and now I think we're all going to be blind tomorrow 😱

SteamTrainsRealAleandOpenFires · 26/05/2018 23:21
