Fat and fabulous

So I am fat. I like food too much to lose weight and after spending years of my life worrying about my waistline, I've had enough.

I want to look good this summer and see fabulous fat women all the time ... what is the secret to looking fat and fabulous?! Aibu to think that you can still look brilliant at 18 stone?! I just want fashion tips please, not judgement or weight loss advice! Thanks

I wonder if those shaming fat people take the same stance with those who smoke and drink?

Probably, someone got lambasted on here the other day for getting some fags from the shop and some MNs only have a sniff of sherry at Christmas

I'm a size 20/22 and I'm tall and I am not a normal type of fat as clothes even those made for bigger people just don't look good on me. Or maybe I'm just not confident enough to pull it off.
But I'm happy being big but my weight has gone up by 4 stone recently but dress size had stayed the same.
I wish I could be happy with my skin.

basically humans want to preserve life. it's a biological instinct. we can't help it. so yes people will critise the obese, the smokers, the alkies, the druggies, the idle, etc because we want everyone to live as long as possible and have as many children as possible because that is what our instincts are telling us is important.

you can be beautiful at any size. you can be stylish/fashionable at any size. you can't be healthy at any size. but we all know that already.

in answer to the ops question, have you thought about visiting a seamstress? I always think when people are wearing made to measure it looks better than of the shelf. x

It's all about moderation. Anyone who does too much of anything, be it eating, smoking, or drinking - is going to cause a detrimental effect on their body. Possibly the effects of over eating will show up sooner than the effects of smoking and drinking to excess.

I don't know where to begin with this one Umm - basically you despise as many people as possible - because you are a bigot!

Personally if I do have any spare time for being critical of others, I like to aim that at racists, violent criminals, people who are cruel and don't value life. You know, that sort of thing - its what MY instincts tell me.

Ummmmgogo · 27/05/2018 22:26

lol no I'm not. I meant society in general doesn't approve of these things. you can be kind to a junkie while also believing that they are shortening their life surely???? i can assure you that I am also anti racists and murderers too, didn't think that needed to be pointed out but there you go.

Bloody hell! I advanced searched newchic for some idea about clothes now I'm a tad bigger than I used to be. I think I should kill myself now!
