This threads always make me laugh. People getting up in arms about how unsanitary XYZ is when everywhere you go you are touching people's faecal matter and bodily fluids. You probably have minute traces of someone's shit on your hands right now. But you're right, your own pee is gross. And your partner's pee is gross too, even though his penis has most likely been in your vagina and quite probably your mouth.

I pee in the shower pretty much EVERY TIME.

I've pee'd in the bath too!

I don't have a choice. Once that warm water hits me, I just let go, even if I didn't know I needed a wee.

If you flush the loo without putting the lid down, small micro droplets of whatever was in the loo goes everywhere anyway, so all this mania about a bit of pee remaining in the shower is just bonkers!!!!

I’m prone to UTIs and it’s a lot more comfortable to pee in the shower when I’m suffering!

I pee in the shower when I don’t have a UTI though, it saves water and toilet paper and it really does all just wash away.

I don't want to share a shower with other people and their piss.

Eh, do you never clean your shower then? Or rinse it out after each use? Because that's the only reason you'd be showering in their piss!

I can do the world's longest pee before I get in the shower but once I'm in, I always pee some more. It's involuntary.

And I wee in the shower. Saves water and doesn't splash up the shower curtain because I am not a horse.

I thought everyone peed in the shower. It is washed away by all the water and soap. Not unsanitary at all. Those that think it can splash up to the walls, curtains and ceilings obviously have some sort of bladder issue.

I would never pee in a swimming pool, a static pool of water is not fair game.

I love that, there's something rather liberating about it. My dog always watches too, usually with a puzzled look.

But you can never guarantee that anything you touch/eat in public is clean. Loads of people don't wash their hands after using the toilet, for example. Door handles, handrails and money are all huge breeding grounds for germs as they're all touched by thousands of people - some of whom won't have clean hands.

That being said, it doesn't worry me at all. My immune system is good and strong enough to withstand a few germs. I don't feel that sanitising everything and washing your hands all the time is good for anyone (Obviously it's different if you've got an auto-immune condition or similar).

....ok, so if you think like that what about all the parts of the hotel room and bathroom that the other guests may have touched with their hands that may have just touched goodness knows what?! A shower gets cleaned in between guests but I bet the remote control doesn't, or the door handles, or the phone, or the key fob you're handed at check in ......

I get thrush a lot, when I do I will pee in the shower as it's less uncomfortable. I don't care what anyone thinks of that, having thrush every month is miserable and if pissing in the shower makes it marginally less so for a short while I'm doing it.
