Meghan's dress was lovely but lumpy looking,/ill fitting bra look

Anyone else notice how lumpy it looked at front like when you wear a bra that's two small and you have two cleavages lt spoiled it for me tbh though l think she looked stunning. I thought it might just be the light as it is quite shimmery but have noticed it in several shots /light now. A wardrobe malfunction?

With that kind of material if you had the bodice tighter it would have ruckled.

To have a tight bodice it either needs to be stretch material - stretch silk for example, or boned/corseted to give a smooth shape.

biscuitraider · 21/05/2018 13:04

She looked lovely. Everyone bitching should post photos of themselves on their wedding day so Meghan can have a good laugh in return.
They don't need to, unless they're marrying into the royal family (who the taxpayer supports) no one would be remotely interested. People have a right to comment as much as they want, did you really think such a huge occasion would pass without people commenting on THE DRESS. Leave people alone to say what they want, they're doing no harm fgs.

If you're a royalist i'd be more bothered if people weren't showing an interest tbh.

Shambu · 21/05/2018 13:18

So taxpayer support confers the right to bitch about people's clothes? Ok.

minipie · 21/05/2018 13:36

Goodness surely we are allowed to express an opinion about the fit of a dress without it being deemed bitchy? It's hardly a major criticism. Or is only gushing allowed to avoid being deemed bitchy?

Re high waist: you're right it's not high waisted. I was misled by a photo showing a crease/shadow under the bust, thought it was the waistline.

LadySadie1 · 21/05/2018 14:00

Why is it that if someone says they didn't like Meghan's dress or that they think that it wasn't fitted correctly they are called jealous, bitches, nasty, clueless, classless etc?,surely it's only their opinion and taste, and surely they're as much entitled to their own tastes and opinions as the people that likes her dress are?,it certainly doesn't make them wrong. The opinions and tastes of the people that didn't like her dress are as right as the opinions and tastes of the people that like her dress,it's absolutely awful reading these posts where people are being called names and told they're wrong because their opinion is different to someone else's,that's wrong!!,we are all entitled to have our own without being attacked for it.
One poster actually said that their husband said it was nice and that he'd have been the first to say if it wasn't so it must be niceHmmCome on!!!
Someone else said that the people that don't like the dress should post pictures of themselves in their wedding dresses so Meghan can come on here and return the favour of bitching at and laughing at them,no one has laughed at her!!,everyone that said they didn't like it also said she looked amazing and having your own taste and opinion of something isn't bitching.
I personally didn't really like Meghan's dress BUT I think she looked absolutely stunning,I'm not a nasty, jealous bitch because I don't like it,it's just not my taste or a dress that I would have chosen that's all and I'm sure Meghan wouldn't really like my wedding dress because it's not her style,I don't think she'd be a nasty, jealous bitch for not like liking it though,I thought her evening reception dress was absolutely beautiful,I loved it,but I wouldn't think bad of someone that didn't like it,I just can't understand why someone can call someone else for not having the same taste as them or because their opinion isn't the same as someone's else's opinion, everyone's opinion is right to them and there is no need for any nastiness.

Bluelady · 21/05/2018 14:03

And breathe!

ImNotMeImSomeoneElse · 21/05/2018 14:11

Personally I don't give a shit what people think of anyone's wedding dress. But I think to openly criticise how a bride looks on her wedding day IS nasty, no matter who the bride is.

biscuitraider · 21/05/2018 14:15

Why does everyone feel the need to nitpick?
Oh leave them alone, where's the harm ffs. Can't we have opinions, how weird if we all said the same. Of course people will nitpick, are we that brainwashed we must all love everything about the royal family.

Seems not. There is a cohort on Mumsnet who accuse others of such things. Pay no attention to their histrionics.

RoseWhiteTips · 21/05/2018 14:26

Lweji

Actually it is Meghan as well as Rachel

Rachel is her first name; most people use their first name.
🙄

Rachel is a much nicer one.

SoupDragon · 21/05/2018 14:30

most people use their first name.

I don’t.

SoupDragon · 21/05/2018 14:31

Why is it that people who call others out for unnecessary bitchiness are accused of “histrionics”?

Lweji · 21/05/2018 14:31

Rachel is her first name; most people use their first name

So? Meghan is still her name.
Many people do use their second name instead of the first. Or nicknames. Like Harry.

You're wrong to say it's one and not the other. For whatever purpose on this thread.

RoseWhiteTips · 21/05/2018 14:33

NobodyToVoteForNow

Riiight.
a) Not everyone posting less than gushing comments will be married.
b)Your suggestion is a stupid Mumsnet cliche.

Next?

RoseWhiteTips · 21/05/2018 14:33

Oh and your Meghan will not be reading this guff, anyway. Get real.

RoseWhiteTips · 21/05/2018 14:34

Are we in a court of law? 🤣

RoseWhiteTips · 21/05/2018 14:36

@ Lweji

MakeItStopNeville · 21/05/2018 14:38

Neither does Prince Harry!

I thought she looked fabulous and the grins on those two page boys as they walked in carrying the veil were the best part of the whole day.

biscuitraider · 21/05/2018 14:39

Imnotme when you have a royal wedding costing millions, and watched by millions, and the bride is wearing a dress costing thousands, and there was a huge build by the news channels into what the DRESS was going to be like, people have the right to give their opinion.

If Meghan wanted a quiet ordinary wedding that wasn't being watched by millions, then she picked the wrong one to marry. She wore a fifty grand engagement dress ffs, when you make it all about the clothes as she did then expect people to have an opinion.

How bloody strange if we all "loved" the dress, like mindless zombies. Its ridiculous to think Meghan Markles dress isn't going to get talked about, for good or bad, and yes there is a huge difference in who the bride is in this case.

Annette69 · 21/05/2018 14:47

I thought the overall look was beautiful, however, when she was standing at the altar her breast area did look lumpy, maybe the light or the angle but it did. Maybe she had some padding there which squished in a bit who knows but the dress and her looked amazing.

Lweji · 21/05/2018 14:52

Are we in a court of law?

Apparently yes, if we have to use the first name as given by our parents. Grin

biscuitraider · 21/05/2018 14:53

So taxpayer support confers the right to bitch about people's clothes? Ok.

But you seem to have missed my point, i mentioned them being a taxpayer funded monarchy so people are bound to have an interest in them. If you think that that wouldn't include what the bride was wearing on a multi million pound wedding day you're either naive or stupid.

And it isn't "bitching" to discuss what a royal bride wears on her wedding day, better to be a mindless zombie eh?

LineyGrantDuff · 21/05/2018 14:54

Meghan is 'apple shaped'?

Christ I've read it all now. I suppose it takes a fruitloop to see an apple.

biscuitraider · 21/05/2018 15:07

The only ones who seem to be "bitchy" on here are the ones calling out other people for daring to give their honest opinions. I really don't understand these people who take such umbrage on behalf of these world famous celeb types who don't give a fuck about them and certainly don't need them speaking on their behalf. You wouldn't even be worthy of a glance off them. Grin

ImNotMeImSomeoneElse · 21/05/2018 15:32

@biscuitraider

people have the right to give their opinion

I gave mine. Clearly you disagree. I'm ok with that.
