Meghan's dress was lovely but lumpy looking,/ill fitting bra look

Anyone else notice how lumpy it looked at front like when you wear a bra that's two small and you have two cleavages lt spoiled it for me tbh though l think she looked stunning. I thought it might just be the light as it is quite shimmery but have noticed it in several shots /light now. A wardrobe malfunction?

"Also I'd rather have a Royal Family than Cherie Blair or Anne Widdicombe or John Prescott parading down the mall in the state coach." I don.'think want anyone parading down the Mall in the state coach. But while it's happening and I'm paying for it, I want my money's worth. I think the Royal Family should always wear crowns and drip with jewels and go everywhere in gold coaches. What's the point of them otherwise?

TheFatkinsDiet · 21/05/2018 10:10

@bertrand

I love that logic Grin

JelliedFeels · 21/05/2018 10:18

It seemed to be in the style that she favours though, most of her dresses so far haven’t been skin tight or cinched at the waist.

She has an athletic shape, I do too, which works well in a straight lined style dress.

Lweji · 21/05/2018 10:30

We have got completely caught up the the "women's clothes must be skin tight" thing. Practically all clothes look better on the slightly looser side.

Very true.

I'm not keen on those three either, but for many of us the point is that an elected head of state could be replaced if the majority decided they preferred someone else

It's not even about the money as a president may cost just as much, but at least they'd be accountable for their actions, spending and all the rest

BertrandRussell · 21/05/2018 10:38

We don't actually need a Heas of State, you know..

blueskypink · 21/05/2018 10:48

I just loved how simple it was, but so beautifully made and still comfortable looking.

Exactly - that natural look was so much more appealing (for me) than the sprayed on outfits some of the guests were wearing, many of whom looked extraordinarily uncomfortable.

steveoflincoln that is so true! I took another look at the dress on the highlights. It was a perfect fit! The boat shape neck didn’t sag at any point and the firmness of the dress fabric gave it a sculptured look. Also, the point of The outfit was that magnificent gossamer train which said ‘I’m an uncomplicated but very confident woman’ Magnificent!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 21/05/2018 11:03

No, of course we don't; I was simply thinking of the possible benefits if we went down that route ...

Nikephorus · 21/05/2018 11:05

I'm not a fan of her (or of Pippa) but why the obsession with their bras / lack of bras? Are you all hoping to be picked up by the Daily Mail as 'journalists' as they're the only ones usually concerned with these things?

ralfeesmum · 21/05/2018 11:25

I thought it was a bad show of Elton John to wear that attention-grabbing joke shop wig in a bid to steal the limelight from Meg.......(wot woz he thinking?!?)

dustyparadeground · 21/05/2018 11:26

Megan who?

SoupDragon · 21/05/2018 11:36

Look how well that turned out in Russia.

Lweji · 21/05/2018 11:37

Look how well that turned out in Russia.

It works well for most democratic countries, though.

getupdressandshowup · 21/05/2018 11:39

I agree the veil was stunning, pretty, ethereal, translucent and the way the page boys held it up on the way up the steps brought a lump to my throat. Breathtaking veil. I also adored the way Harry and Meghan held hands at every possible chance.

SoupDragon · 21/05/2018 11:44

The Russia comment was tongue in cheek :)

Lweji · 21/05/2018 11:44

Megan who?

That would have had a greater impact if you had spelled her name correctly. Wink

minipie · 21/05/2018 11:53

I agree OP. The dress didn't fit as well as it could have around the bust and waist. It fit well around the shoulders and neckline but not the middle. Fitting well doesn't have to mean skin tight nor does it mean you can't sit down (especially in a dress with a high waist like this one).

She still looked lovely.

Suzielou66 · 21/05/2018 12:18

She looked relaxed, comfortable and beautiful.
LIZS You could not add boning to a dress like that because the dress doesn’t have the right style or shape to do that. The whole reason for using the fabric they did would be to highlight the shape and flow of the dress.
Why does everyone feel the need to nitpick? She has her own sense of style and she’s obviously comfortable in her own skin. She’s not a clothes horse. As long as she loved her dress who cares what anyone else thinks.

trumptrump · 21/05/2018 12:21

Funnily enough, her name is Rachel, not Meghan

Lweji · 21/05/2018 12:22

Actually it is Meghan as well as Rachel.

Lweji · 21/05/2018 12:27

especially in a dress with a high waist like this one

How is it high waist?

NobodyToVoteForNow · 21/05/2018 12:29

She looked lovely. Everyone bitching should post photos of themselves on their wedding day so Meghan can have a good laugh in return.

FindoGask · 21/05/2018 12:51

This morning, Meghan's dress was no. 1 topic of conversation at work:
colleague 1 (in her 50s) : didn't like it, too plain, also hair too severe
colleague 2 (60s): liked the style of it but thought bodice too big
colleague 3: liked style of it, thought fitted well
me (40s): same as colleague 2.

Nobody - you will be pleased to know I looked dreadful at my wedding! Not that it really matters - the being married part is the point, surely.
