To think transgender women really have no idea what being a women is ? . Maybe it's time we had a 3rd Gender . Be interested in hearing what real women & transwomen feel ?

OP posts:

@Cote, thanks for the biology lesson. Yes, I bought my son off the internet.....he was probably stolen away from his birth mother by trans activists.

I know biologically what it is to be female. However, Some women are born into the wrong body. I don’t just think it’s a body dysmorphia. I think it’s more fundamental than that.

I find the dismissive way you talk about the trans experience, eg oh, I identify as a man at the weekend, ha ha - really obnoxious and very sad. The suicide rate in the trans community is high and you know this.

ShotsFired · 17/05/2018 10:21

@bert3400 I read this recently. Seems like an accurate summary of the situation.

"Men and women don’t wake up feeling like a man or a woman any more than they wake up feeling like they have brown eyes. A trans individual may identify as the opposite sex, but it does not make them so Trans women are a demographic of males, as trans men are a demographic of women. A trans woman doesn’t feel like a woman, he thinks he feels like a woman, there is no way of ‘feeling like a woman’ — sex isn’t a feeling, it’s a reality — and when you go on spouting nonsense supporting the idea of ‘feeling like a woman’, you’re engaging in misogynistic and sexist stereotyping. Liking feminine things does not a woman make — if it did, half of gay Twitter would be women."

Bowlofbabelfish · 17/05/2018 10:22

But transwomen are women and transmen are men.

californiadream do you believe humans can change sex ?

Strongmummy · 17/05/2018 10:26

But that’s the point, gay men (even very “effeminate” gay men) identify as men. Therefore trans women are not just liking things that are typically associated with being a woman, eg pink and skirts!!!!!! It’s far more fundamental.

Whether you like it or not being a woman is not purely a social construct. I’m not a woman because I was born with certain chromosomes. There is something else which is neither chromosomal nor social that makes me a woman. Trans women feel THAT!!!

Bowlofbabelfish · 17/05/2018 10:27

strongmummy can human beings change sex?

Pratchet · 17/05/2018 10:27

Some women are born into the wrong body.

Impossible
Unevidenced
Incoherent
Cult faith
No such thing as a man's brain or woman's brain except for the sex of the body in which it resides.

Bowlofbabelfish · 17/05/2018 10:29

I’m not a woman because I was born with certain chromosomes.

Yes actually you are. That’s how sex is defined genetically. It’s not defined by souls, or any kind of nebulous feelings. Biology doesn’t give a shit how we feel. It has no opinion. It just IS. It’s not subjective

XX, XXX = female
XY, XXY, XYY etc = Male.

AngryAttackKittens · 17/05/2018 10:29

I'm confused. Why does Strongmummy think that Pratchet is a man? I'm pretty sure she's a woman and not the online manifestation of the former Sir Terry's soul (as cool a thing as that would be to have available to chat to).

Pratchet · 17/05/2018 10:30

(I'm a lady btw)

TrudeauGirl · 17/05/2018 10:33

Trans women ARE women.

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 17/05/2018 10:33

As in a real life female lady @Pratchet or one of those new fangled bepenised ladies?

Bowlofbabelfish · 17/05/2018 10:34

Trans women ARE women.

trudeaugirl do you believe humans can change sex?

Pratchet · 17/05/2018 10:34

@trudeau You have no idea what a woman is so that's a truly pointless and meaningless statement. Also do you mean sex when you say gender?

Pratchet · 17/05/2018 10:35

Bowl I'm noticing that no one wants to answer your question. I wonder why.

Strongmummy · 17/05/2018 10:36

Apologies Pratchet, I had confused a post by someone else with you.

Enjoy the bigotry ladies !

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 17/05/2018 10:36

TrudeauGirl we can all SAY that because it’s the naice respectful thin to say, but do you actually believe it when it gets down to the nuts and bolts of Lauren Hubbard winning medals in women’s weightlifting or Fallon Fox smashing Tamikka Brents’ face in?

Pratchet · 17/05/2018 10:36

Proper vag type lol @weird

ShotsFired · 17/05/2018 10:36

@MyRelationshipIsWeird As it stands, we can identify all we like, but we're still stuck with the shitty end of the stick.

Well hold on there, apparently we do have massive privilege, dontchaknow? I mean, this tweeter has generously pointed out how damn privileged we are that we have the luxury of abortions. We should count ourselves luck at being able to bathe in such glorious fortune, right? Hmm

Pratchet · 17/05/2018 10:37

Run, strong, run like the wind

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 17/05/2018 10:37

Yawn

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 17/05/2018 10:38

ShotsFired - I stand corrected, lucky us!

AngryAttackKittens · 17/05/2018 10:38

I think Breigh Genderasshole is a bit confused about how much fun abortions are to have, among many other things.

Bowlofbabelfish · 17/05/2018 10:38

Bowl I'm noticing that no one wants to answer your question. I wonder why.

It’s odd isn’t it? It’s a simple, yes/no answer and it’s sort of fundamental to the whole debate. And I keep asking it, and absolutely no one will ever say yes.

So I have people shouting at me that I’m a bigot and that transwomen are women but nobody is willing to say that they believe humans can change sex.

Very peculiar

TrudeauGirl · 17/05/2018 10:38

trudeaugirl do you believe humans can change sex?

They have a sex change operation for that very reason so yes.

Also yes I do mean sex when I say gender, after the operation they are the different sex.

I respect that some people don't agree with transgender but I myself choose to be supportive and open minded about it. That's just my opinion and I don't expect others to agree. Flowers

CoteDAzur · 17/05/2018 10:41

"@Cote, thanks for the biology lesson."

It was an English language lesson, actually, about dictionary definitions of the very words that we are debating.

"Some women are born into the wrong body."

WRONG. There's no such thing as "born into the wrong body". There is no pre-conception alignment of souls and fetuses presided over by an error-prone deity Hmm

"I don’t just think it’s a body dysmorphia. I think it’s more fundamental than that."

How on Earth do you have so many opinions without any facts or even valid information? What are your scientific credentials to be disputing the existence of this medical diagnosis?

"The suicide rate in the trans community is high"

So? Suicidal tendencies are for their MH care providers to treat.

It is unreasonable to expect the entire world to go along with the clearly and indisputably incorrect ideas some people have about their bodies.

It is factually wrong and it is harmful to women as a class.
