Men wanting to be Women

To think transgender women really have no idea what being a women is ? . Maybe it's time we had a 3rd Gender . Be interested in hearing what real women & transwomen feel ?

OP posts:
Sitrus · 20/05/2018 00:01

I had hoped we had come further in 2018. Sadly looking at this thread there is still a lot of work to be done. It is echoing the views from the past regarding homosexuality. I get that many people are scared of what they do not understand, but still, do unto others as you would be done by.

Ps. the trans community are not out to get you.

Willow2017 · 20/05/2018 00:10

Nope in 2018 its arguing biology.

Homosexuals are not trying to make women second class citizens. They are not trying to invade womens safe spaces.

They are not claiming to be women after raping women to get put into a womans prison so they can molest women prisoners.
They are not telling other homosexuals that lesbians should be grateful that 'real women have dicks' and therefore they are homophobic to not want to give them blow jobs.
They are not taking medals from women in sport with thier different, stronger musculature, stamina, height etc by just identifying as a woman while still a fully functioning nan.
They are not attacking women physically in the street nor sending death threats to womem who disagree with them.

Find another analogy for the campaign against women waged by trans activists baying for womens blood.

Sitrus · 20/05/2018 00:22

Are you for real? They are not trying to invade your safe places. They are not going into toilets to rape women and children (please show me the statistics on that, I would love to see them). They are not trying to get into womens prisons to molest other women, they are not stealing medals from women (if you are referring to the south african athlete she had dna test and sorry but she is a woman). They are not attacking women in the streets (I would love to see the statistics on that).

Too many people are accepting the hatred the far right is spewing out, out of fear of the unknown.

How many transsexuals do you know personally?

OrderMeAnotherCurry · 20/05/2018 00:44

Nobody on here thinks transwomen are all rapists. I have been posting here for over a year now and lurking for even longer than that and I have never seen anyone claim that transwomen are all just rapists who just want to get into women's spaces to attack women. Not once.

What I have seen people say however is that men who are rapists or sexual predators will use self identification laws and policies in order to make it easier to gain access to women and not have their presence challenged. That is not the same thing as saying that all transsexuals are rapists or perverts and out to get people.

You can't compare being gay to being trans either. Being gay impacts nobody else. Gender identity, however, can and does impact other people.

Quite frankly I'm tired of people claiming that people who object to what is going on have no experience of transsexuals. Some of us who are objecting are trans. Some of the objectors have trans children or family members who are getting hurt in all of this mess. The fact that we have experience of trans issues and are seeing and living through the damage this whole thing is causing is precisely why we object to what is happening.

If you want to address bigotry and hate then you can address people such as the boys who pinned me down when I was a teenager and tried to lift up my skirt to see what I had down there. Or they can address people such as the man who punched me in the face, spat on me and called me a fag or the one who glassed me over the head for being a "revolting tranny".

They are the people you need to address and try to find solutions to how to deal with them. I am yet to see a so-called trans alley even attempt to address or even acknowledge people like that and until they do, I refuse to take any of them seriously.

OrderMeAnotherCurry · 20/05/2018 00:53

The only people on here who seem to acknowledge me and other trans posters are the so-called TERF's and bigots.

So called trans allies just ignore us.

Those people who get labelled bigots or TERFs or accused of being on the wrong side of history are the same people who have been supporting me, listening to me, asking questions and wanting to learn what it's like to be trans. They don't want to shove transwomen under a bus, they want to find a solution that will work for everyone and won't impact other people.

Disagreement is not transphobia.

Being respectfully gender critical is not transphobia.

Not agreeing with everything a trans person says is certainly not transphobia.

Who do you think you're helping here? It's certainly not the people you think you're helping.

Ereshkigal · 20/05/2018 01:33

Are you for real?

Are you?

Ereshkigal · 20/05/2018 01:36

Trans identified males are invading women's space. You don't give a fuck, clearly, but it doesn't mean it's not happening.

StarlaPriest · 20/05/2018 01:37

Men wanting to be Women

Do you mean - Women wishing for their outer shells to reflect their inner selves?

Ereshkigal · 20/05/2018 01:38

Er, I doubt that's what she meant.

Ereshkigal · 20/05/2018 01:39

Think she pretty much clarified it in her OP, actually.

StarlaPriest · 20/05/2018 02:06

Did they? I'm not convinced.

UpstartCrow · 20/05/2018 02:08

@OrderMeAnotherCurry If you could bottle that invisibility potion you'd be rich. Rich beyond your wildest dreams

Pratchet · 20/05/2018 07:04

Your inner self is your personality. There's no such thing as a 'female personality'

rosylea · 20/05/2018 09:48

Sitrus, you didn't reply to Curry? Interested to see your answer.

Willow2017 · 20/05/2018 10:34

Sitrus
Are you?
Every thing in my post has happened. Have you just arrived on earth? Maybe do your research before going off on one.

Btw i never said trans were all going into toilets to rape women and children. Hysterical exaggerating much?
Safe spaces are not just toilets get your brain in gear.

If Physical violence, intimidation and death threats are your idea of someone who doesnt want women silenced you are as bad as the ones who do it. Open your rose tinted eyes. Blindly supporting something you obviously know nothing about is the reason radical hate filled trans are able to continue to spout thier bile towards women.

Many trans peope just want to get on with thier lives without all the prejudice, they dont hate women, they dont agree with shutting women down if they dare to disagree with what is happening as they disagree themselves. As i said previously i have no problem with trans people being protected from ignorant prejudices, i have a no problem with individual trans people. I have a huge problem with trans groups telling me i have to roll over and give up womens hard won rights for them. I have a huge problem with being told that womens bodies, lives and experiences do not count any more cos trans women have never experienced them and can not so to talk about them is transphobic. I have a huge problem with only women being targeted not men.

Educate yourself.

And maybe reply to Currys post. Or would that not suit your agenda?

ChainVaper · 20/05/2018 11:08

I am totally for trans women’s rights and there should be a comfortable place for any person no matter how they choose to gender identify. The things that naturally a trans woman would not be able to experience would be periods, childbirth, menopause and other hormone related things like having pcos for example. Once a man has transitioned to a trans woman I am sure there are things about being a woman that she would be able to share with other women which would equate to understanding how a woman feels. There’s also things that women born as women wouldn’t be able to relate to that trans women feel. The common bond is that we all identify as women and that should be embraced I believe. However there is the obvious grey area as to what sex you were born and that cannot genetically be changed therefore there should be instances where allowances for these advantages or disadvantages should be taken into consideration- eg competitive sports . I have no idea how this would be put into place though!

RatRolyPoly · 20/05/2018 11:14

They don't want to shove transwomen under a bus, they want to find a solution that will work for everyone and won't impact other people.

Do they?? Which ones? Which ones are looking for a solution that works for women and transwomen and what is their proposal?

Please do tell how you've managed to negotiate with a group whose broad opinion is that "no is not the start of a negotiation".

Oh, and they've said "no" by the way. They've said it lots.

Do tell me how you've managed to ensure transwomen are represented when there is no negotiation?

RatRolyPoly · 20/05/2018 11:16

ChainVaper what you've described is exactly what we have currently.

Transwomen can be legally recognised as women and be treated as women in all circumstances, EXCEPT in the case of certain exceptions; sport being the most obvious one.

That's the law as it stands.

Reasonable, isn't it.

Ereshkigal · 20/05/2018 11:30

Do they?? Which ones? Which ones are looking for a solution that works for women and transwomen and what is their proposal?

Third spaces for trans people. Recognition that gender dysphoria is a serious medical condition needing treatment. Recognition that you shouldn't expect to disadvantage others just because of your personality traits. Recognition that trans identified males and women are different and have entirely different needs in many cases. Respect for women's boundaries, feelings and right to privacy and dignity. Trans specific provision of refuges etc.

RatRolyPoly · 20/05/2018 11:37

Oh okay, so you want to give transpeople loads of stuff their representatives have specifically said they don't want, whilst getting absolutely everything you want.

That's things they don't want, including calling them "TIFs" and "TIMs".

Wow, you're really taking into account those transpeople aren't you.

SerenDippitty · 20/05/2018 11:38

Cornish: sex is defined by reproductive role, not reproductive ability.

That’s a cop out. It still defines women who are not able to have children by the one thing they are supposed to be able to do but cannot.

Ereshkigal · 20/05/2018 11:52

Oh okay, so you want to give transpeople loads of stuff their representatives have specifically said they don't want, whilst getting absolutely everything you want.

I didn't actually say I was prepared to compromise on things I consider unfair. Which of my suggestions are unreasonable Rat? Specifically? Perhaps all their demands are unreasonable? Perhaps this is all just an attack on women's rights?

Ereshkigal · 20/05/2018 11:54

And many of their representatives are utterly batshit. Good luck with getting all the Action for Trans Health demands met.

cardibach · 20/05/2018 12:01

they are not stealing medals from women (if you are referring to the south african athlete she had dna test and sorry but she is a woman)
Sitrus nobody is referencing Caster Semenya when talking about men stealing medals. Semenya is a different issue altogether. We are talking about people like Laurel Hubbard and Hannah Mouncey. Google them. Educate yourself as you don’t seem to understand what we are discussing in this area.

cardibach · 20/05/2018 12:03

Seren it’s the biological definition. It isn’t personal. The wording is ‘of the class’. It isn’t trying to upset or shame anyone, it’s just science. We can’t change science to make anyone feel better I’m afraid.
