AIBU to think that anyone who hears Laurel is playing a practical joke? It's definitely yanny!

Just held the speaker bit right to my ear and can now hear laurel.

I have listened to it several times with 3 if my kids - athey the same time. One heard Lauren every time - the rest Yanny so it can't be changing it.

Trainers are pink and white vans. I nearly bought a pair the other day but they look grey and grey

Sorry to disappoint but my 7 year old and I listened together and she hard Yanny whereas I heard Laurel....

Soy just watched the guardian vid deconstructing it. I’ve heared the Yanny on it’s own but when I hear the actual vid it’s still completely Laurel. Going to get my teen to try

old that fits with what the guy on the guardian site says. It’s to do with age apparently!

I hear Laurel, DH hears Yanny. He says it's a high pitched voice I think a low pitched voice.

Literally cannot hear anything except a clear Laurel

I have now heard them both, yanny is high pitched and nasal, Laurel is very low pitched.

I heard it on the radio before they said it was a choice of two names. They asked 'what word is this?' I heard it as 'moral' which is obviously close to Laurel, but still different.

The funny thing is that whatever you hear, literally no-one repeats it as it is said. We are all collectively incapable of reproducing it.

NOW I'M HEARING LAUREL AND DON'T KNOW HOW I EVER HEARD YANNY. WHAT IS HAPPENING.

Oh I just listened to it again (heard laurel this morning) and it was def Yanny!

DH and I both hear Yanny. Can't get Laurel at all!
