I wasn’t bothered about the wedding but now I’m going to watch it just to see what her family do! Will he attend, won’t he? Will he walk her down the aisle or not? This is more exciting than seeing her dress 😆 funniest is the uninvited extended family flying over...what the hell are they going to do here? Just amazing how weird some people are!

I feel sorry for the poor bloke. By the sounds of it reporters have been following him around everywhere. There was something on one website that went into detail about all the drive through's he'd been to in the last week.

The royal family are given some level of training and preparation for that level of intrusion. I doubt her dad was expecting anything like what it has been.

I've stopped feeling sorry for him, he hasn't managed to speak directly to MM himself apparently but he's happy to give interviews to TMZ (sleazy gossip site in the USA) saying he now wants to walk her down the aisle and be a part of history.

Purely on the basis of her God awful family I now think this public spectacle of a wedding is a really bad idea. When MM's family members started coming out of the woodwork months ago MM & PH should have made the decision to have a small, private wedding to minimise the embarrassment her family could/is causing. Even a small royal private wedding would be still be a lavish dream wedding for MM.

Princess Anne had affairs with her protection officers, Diana colluded with the press and Fergie was a slapper (although I must admit having a huge soft spot for the last three). Princess Margaret was a snob and her husband was an antisemite and the Queen Mother was a drunk.

Personally if I was Doria I would be asking my daughter why she thought marrying into that family of fuck ups was a good idea.

I went over to the ‘dark side’ today and my goodness it’s vile over there. People really do care about all this and not in a good way.

I am not a massive fan of this marriage (for the reasons currently in the press and the family’s seeming inability to show any decorum or discretion) but I feel very sorry for her - how mortifyingly embarrassing- esp the way her sister behaves and has changed her name. What a dick.
