My son has a music exam near Windsor on Sat. We will have to leave very early and go back roads to avoid wedding traffic.
Just wondered if anyone else has the Royal wedding negatively affecting their normal life.
BTW, this is light hearted. It's not my biggest issue but is an extra concern.

It’ll be something nice and distracting to talk to mil about. better than ‘talking’about people we know

@JenBarber your swan napkins sound lovely; I’m a big fan of ‘random acts of thoughtful whimsy’

Oh my goodness, can you prevail upon the examining board for another date? You couldn't pay me to go into Windsor this weekend.

I’m surprised at how interested I am - it’s not occupying all my waking thoughts but I’m looking forward to watching the coverage, the guests’ outfits and the bride herself.

I have a feeling she’s going to look fabulous too - not frumpy but not like a siren - elegant, classy and beautiful.

Fucking hell I sound like a tool Blush

I think it’s just weddings I like as I’m really not a fan of the monarchy.

I need to get from Chelsea to Suffolk on Saturday and I'm a bit concerned about traffic.

Road closures mean I have to visit my father on Friday instead of Saturday. Bloody annoying. I just don’t understand why there is all this hoopla.

There's never any real news in the Daily Wail, if this wedding is getting rid of some bigotry I'm all for it. I shall miss my mum more than ever on Saturday, she loved a Royal wedding and this is the first one I'll watch without her.

Not affecting me at all actually. Curious to see her dress of course, but that's about it. I'm hopefully dragging my mother to ikea Saturday

I’ve ordered some Union Jack bunting for my Deck .

Sadly I’m working in a cafe , I’m hoping to be really quiet so I can watch it on my laptop ( whilst drinking Prosecco )

As I live in Wales , I suspect most people will be busy trying to show how disinterested in it they are , whilst watching it on the sly

I have to wear something weddingy to work on Friday. They suggested my wedding dress, but what do I wear on the other leg?

No affect on me apart from I'll have to interrupt my usual binge fest of 60 Minute Makeover - as I am dying to see the dress !!!

I was told not to take holiday as I may have to work it, so now my friends are all going to Scotland together this weekend and I’m on my Todd

I work every Saturday morning, but I really wanted to watch the wedding.

DD will record it for me to watch when I come home, but it won't be the same Sad

Love a Royal Wedding!

Just the cost to the taxpayer and the reminder of brutal inequality raging in the country

No impact at all! I live nowhere near Windsor.

I would ordinarily watch it but I am away for the weekend at another event so will probably only catch a glimpse.

I think all the hype is unnecessary, but I still think it is a lovely thing. Can't understand all the hostility.

If you have to send your DS dressed up with a Royal theme, how about Oliver Cromwell?

It won't affect me at all even though I am in London, I might switch it on to get a look at her frock like I did with Kate but that's about it. Have friends who live in Windsor though and it's going to be a massive headache for them and for their business.
