Do I do something with this cat??

Sorry, not really AIBU, but needed some replies sooner rather than later.

I haven’t seen my neighbour for days, not actually sure when I did see him last. Have knocked his door twice over the weekend regarding something else, and no reply.

His cat has been in the communal close on and off over these few days and I’m feeling increasingly sorry for him.

Can I give him milk?? I know it probably best not to feed him, but is a little bowl of milk okay?? (Only have semi skimmed).

Sorry, if this seems ridiculous, but I don’t know what to do for the best. I know cats can fend for themselves, but last time the neighbour went away, I know he left the cat with a family member.

Technically I own one cat. But I have about 7 not my cats who like to wander in and visit. I did a double take when I found this on my bed though after I got out the shower. This is not my cat

Do I do something with this cat??

Oh, that’s gorgeous.

But nope, not even close to convinced. My family aren’t cat lovers. No one to have him when I’m busy.

Ollivander84, how cute. But is he 1 of your 7 regulars?Grin. He has a lovely face.

Ollivander84 · 15/05/2018 23:11

Want - well not then, but yes, a regular now! I had a Birman that virtually moved in with me before I even got a cat. If I go near a feral, they sit in my lap HmmConfused

Luisa27 · 15/05/2018 23:13

@Olivander - he’s sweet!

SirVixofVixHall · 15/05/2018 23:18

Ooh Olivander , I love him .

SneakyGremlins · 15/05/2018 23:25

I'm being groomed by mine right now...

yahhhh, He's back. Grin

ShotsFired · 16/05/2018 06:56

@rageface YAY!

You can now bask in the glory of the righteous (for being a good kind person), and now the knowledge that King George may deign to grace you with his presence at any time Grin

Shedmicehugh1 · 16/05/2018 07:07

Do you think your neighbour has moved out?

Poor cat. Give cat protection a ring if you think it’s been abandoned.

Shedmicehugh1 · 16/05/2018 07:08

Sorry didn’t see updates

Luisa27 · 16/05/2018 07:18

@rage - where’s the neighbour been? Did he say why he left the cat unattended like that?

picklemepopcorn · 16/05/2018 07:43

Yes, do tell us what George's human had arranged for him!

rageface · 16/05/2018 08:53

What he said didn’t make sense and wasn’t a good reason anyway, but I’m hoping maybe there was some reason and he was perhaps too embarrassed to explain.

OP posts:
Want2beme · 16/05/2018 09:26

Hope George is happy to go home. If not, prepare to be his back up. I think he may have developed a liking for fish fingers Grin

Want2beme · 16/05/2018 09:29

Ollivander, you obviously have the magic touch!

rageface · 16/05/2018 12:42

I’m more than happy to keep an eye out and treat him now and then if need be. He let me stroke him this morning, which is a first. I didn’t want to leave him!

OP posts:
SneakyGremlins · 16/05/2018 14:25

What did the neighbour say!

rageface · 16/05/2018 16:33

That he’s been working away (hours away). But has been popping in trying to catch the cat? Confused

But it’s just not true. Plus the cats back out this morning when I left for work and here this afternoon when I got in. So I don’t know if he’s gone again.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 16/05/2018 16:44

Cat might decide he prefers you anyway!
My cat likes water that's been through a flower pot first. She waits by a specific pot until our plant watering system turns on (I'm an incredibly lazy gardener) and then laps up the water dribbling out the bottom.

Luisa27 · 16/05/2018 16:50

“Popping back to try and catch the cat”????😐

What a shit owner

YouTheCat · 16/05/2018 16:54

Why don't you offer to feed the cat if he's away? Just ask him to provide the food.
